Let's Hear Your Stories

I want to hear your most Feelsbad moments in H5! Whether it’s that game where you blew a huge lead and lost, or your teammate just missed a touch on a flag that would’ve won you the game! For me personally, recently I was playing a Slayer game on Orion II and my team had a comfortable 49-40 lead. Well to begin the enemy team cleaned us up 4-0 to bring in to 49-44, followed by a teammate falling off the map twice in a row(so cringe) to make it 47-44. This resulted in my team panicking and solo pushing into their whole team top sniper and we subsequently lost 49-50. This game was especially feels bad because I had practically solo carried my team to 49-40. So let’s hear your tragedies!

One time in Warzone, I was up against an entire Spartan Company that bore the ONI logo. They were absolutely relentless in their attacks and triple-capped us three matches in a row.

It was a nightmare.

Recently (as in recent I mean last night) me and my team went on a 4 game losing streak in which we were absolutely battered, considering we had previously won 18 out of our last 20 games this brought us back to Earth with a bang. :frowning:

I have so many of these moments, but one comes to mind of recent. Was playing btb slayer and was doing so great. I was playing so smart with the sniper and worked my way to an untouchable.

I went and grabbed invisibility and not paying attention while walking back to a good sniper spot, was randomly run over by an unsuspecting ghost driver.

I literally said, “are you f*****g kidding me?” RIP

Oh yeah, here’s another story:

I was trying to get a really high spree in Warzone and I managed to get (at the time) my first Untouchable. I began pushing for an Invincible, and I was 2-3 kills away…

…until a random Warthog decided to run me over… :’(

Well, I’m not too good at Halo… so whenever I get a kill I get excited. Just the other day I got a triple kill, all of which were snapshots with a Beam Rifle, whilst my shields were down. One of 'em even stopped an assassination! So yeah, I’m sure you can imagine my reaction.

Not sure if this is one or the opposite

I recently changed my button load out for more optimised gun fights. My melee is where crouch was, crouch where grenade was and grenade where melee was. My muscle memory for those buttons is pretty auto responsive. My biggest issue is I keep going to crouch strafe and getting stuck in a melee animation.

On the other hand I’m getting better with my shots. I think fear of pressing the wrong button is keeping my game up a bit. But when I’m messing up its hard to stop.

End of the game almost had a perfection and I get sniped with like 20 seconds left in the game.

You should have seen the anger in my eyes.

Warzone match ended 1000-999. We had a pretty good lead but they killed the warden and took 2 bases while everyone was occupied. They were a few points a head of us but they got the last kill within less than a second of us getting the final kill.

I was in a match of Team Slayer the other day on Eden. I was teamed up with three guys in party chat together, so I’m assuming they had their own little team. The game was tight and coming down to the wire. I respawn in blue base, rush outside to blue bend towards turbine to see my teammate with the sniper fall to an enemy player. I finish off his killer and take the sniper, as anyone would do to keep it out of enemy hands. My kill tied us with the enemy team at 40 kills a piece. That same teammate respawns behind me in blue base. Like the selfish idiot he is, he immediately chucks a grenade at me and betrays me to get the sniper back. Needless to say, we fall behind a kill because of him. At this point, I was raging furiously and didn’t even care if we lost because he had already died by the time I could back to him and return the favor. So, instead of us getting a good set up in blue base with sniper control and clutching it out, everything falls apart because of this idiot. We end up losing 50 to 41.

I message him post-game and asked him what the hell he was thinking. He calls me a scrub and said I went negative and only got two kills with the sniper. Both were indeed true. I finished 10 and 13, but so did he. I actually ended up getting two more assists than he did. He then tries to lie and say he got four kills with the sniper, when he actually only had one. So overall, I did better than he did in nearly every stat. According to him, his buddies urged him to betray me for the hell of it. It is truly baffling how stupid some players can be. One of the most infuriating experiences I’ve had with other players.

I was playing rig slayer back in January or February I think. Myself and a couple friends were in a party but we had one random. That random went -1 and 18; he had 2 kills. We lost 50-42.

Going for the rockets on Altair and an enemy player as well he was shooting me right when I was picking up the rockets another team mate goes to spartan charge him and shot the rocket, killing him and the enemy player. Same match on Altair I got the Sniper rifle go to shoot an enemy team runs in front of the shot. Same guy I betrayed with the rockets. Another time an enemy player was running at at me teammate behind him go to throw a sticky teammate misses the spartan charge and gets stuck. And all the times I’ve shot the wall with the rocket launcher and not the enemy.

Not quite a loss but…well, there was this one time on Viking. We make an early flag rush. Whole team. It was BEAUTIFUL, we just carved through the enemy…they lost all their vehicles, we stole their Gauss hog and rode out like bosses, flag in hand…we approach the base…
The idiot with the flag couldnt figure out how to get up to the flag base. He literally circled the base THREE TIMES trying to get it up.
Finally, my friend betrays him to get the flag…he gets booted. First betrayal too.
We WON, but that rock-head made it so that it was a lot closer than it should have been. We only scored once more and they almost took our flag…because he ALSO apperently couldn’t handle flag defense. I saw him get mowed down with a PLASMA PISTOL

Well,
I’m a gold player who plays social playlists mainly because I get to play with higher ranking players. I like seeing how they play and I learn just how much more I have to go to be that good. I played a slayer game where I went 3-20 (ouch I know, thank God for the good teammates). But all players were diamond and onyx. I saw all the stupid pushes I was making and it really showed how much I need to work on my accuracy. Instead of giving up and quitting, I kept playing, trying to see how they moved around the map and why they made the decisions they did.

One thing I ask of you advanced players. I know it’s frustrating when you have a scrub on your team that goes negative. One of the guys actually messaged me my score, as if to say “really??!!” That’s why you play on social so it doesn’t affect your rank. Give us scrubs a break. Some of us just want to learn from you to become better.

Bought a Prophet’s Bane in Warzone once. Run into my team’s Armory, hope I can kill the attacker. First thing that happens is that I get hit by a rocket.

Stupid thing is that I had heard a Rocket Launcher firing as I approached the Armory and was hoping they had run out of ammo or something.

Today I equipped a level 3 camo going from core to armoury on apex and as I got near the armoury I looked both ways then went to cross the path way for vehicles and got splatter instantly.

Used to play warzone with 11 of my friends back in the day when warzone had 12 man fireteams. Used to play every Tuesday, Friday, and saturday ever week. Now there’s only 6 man fireteams in warzone and it’s not nearly as fun or competitive and just kinda sucks.
Now I rarely play warzone but when I do, I farm the crap out of the other teams because I can’t coordinate a core push with my teammates.

I heard a story like that but the chicken made it I think…

Downloading the game

Props to you man, I’ve been there and that’s a good attitude to have. If you keep playing and practicing, eventually you’ll get better. I was a gold/plat player back in January.
