Let's guess how many updates come after Firefight

Well everybody I personally don’t think it’s likely that we will see anything new beyond the WZFF update, maybe one small bonus update before it’s curtains and there is no new content for this game.
I really can’t see this game getting supported into this Fall & Winter.
What do you guys think?

We will see at e3, most likely it will be either paid DLC or more updates since we still have over 2 yrs to go until halo 6 (halo is usually on a 3 yr dev cycle)

See, as long as peeps are willing to piss their money into REQs, I forsee updates till about 6-12 months before the next main Halo game.

Just curious, what’s wrong with that, as long as the updates add maps as well both remix and new, who cares what others do with their money if it’s to everyone’s benefit.

This. They will not abandon a money cow, unless it stops producing money.

I’m hoping they take the feedback they received for these updates and change their strategy a bit. I think people would be more appreciative over an update after a few months that contained nothing but game modes and maps rather than a map or a game mode and tons of meaningless req fluff every month. I think there are more than enough reqs; it’s time for meaningful content.

Paid DLC isn’t going to sell at this point since there’s only a marginal fraction of players left. Then it would split this group right down the middle and flush match making completely down the drain.
Also I’d prefer if they take a longer development cycle with H6 since it needs a lot of work on the campaign and it’s story to pull the Halo universe out of the fan fiction trash heap it that H5G lowered it into.

You’re assuming the update would be applicable to matchmaking only. It could be a campaign expansion. Unlikely, but still possible.

Well, as long as I get free updates, I’m cool with it. I just hate the idea of microtransactions in a AAA game, but it funds something I like… I’m torn about micros in this game.
