I’m a competitive player, I would just like for everyone to know that before you call me casual. Can we just have something more Halo oriented? Major League Gaming just sounds too childish and the idea of it being a sport is a slap in the face to real athletes. My opinion is that the MLG fad died at the end of Halo 3 because everyone wanted a 50 in that playlist. Let’s face it, who actually watched those pros play? Online tutorials and montages from pros is explainable, but the actual games, I didn’t watch them.
I’d rather have a Tournament or Clan playlist than MLG. Those sounds better, it would make more sense in the game because of War Games being like a simulation, everyone would stop pretending to feel like they’re gonna be in a MLG circuit and just play the game, and it would still have the good players. I’m kinda tired of supporting those guys now that I’m older, MLG should end and the pros go get a real job. If you guys only support MLG for montages and tips, there are literally thousands of videos on youtube you can watch with regular people playing.

I’m with you OP, I think it’s time for halo to stop petting these guys the way they have, I would much rather see clan support than another MLG playlist, sure a playlist with those settings for people who like to play that way, but it’s time to move on.
Just saying it’s stupid. If it doesn’t apply to the majority of players online, then why have it. If we had something else, then you probably wouldn’t know the difference while playing. I like to play video games, but I don’t take it serious enough to support other people playing to win money. I would rather want in-game rewards in a competitive playlist instead of playing a knock off playlist that isn’t rewarding to everyone else.
This is why Halo is crumbling. MLG announces it support for Halo and is giving us another shot and instead of fully supporting it so we have a chane for more tournaments you say we should get rid of them. You wanna talk about a slap in the face. That’s a -Yoinking!- slap in the face.

Even though I definitely don’t see eye to eye with everyone in that crowd, and even though I will probably never remain calm enough to compete at that level, I’m for anything that promotes Halo.
