New vehicles.
I was always a fan of the halo vehicles and I can’t wait to see the vehicles in this game. Frankie made me madly excited when he said there would be a vehicle that would dwarf the cyclops that we could control. -
New Ranking system.
This feature is going to be awesome. It would be really interesting to see how they are going to make a new ranking system. Also I know it will be a good one because 343 definitely listens to the community and will find a solution about current issues. -
Unlockable stuff.
This is cool because not everyone will have the same choice or just 1 standard thing over and over again. We all would have to level up and get new items and if they put you in with people at your rank then the game would be even more balanced. -
New weapons
Oh how I love halo weapons. The weapons definitely are going to be sick, I mean we’re on a forerunner planet and we all know how advanced the forerunners are. Using forerunner weapons is going to make this game memorable. -
New enemy.
We all don’t know what it is but we know it is gonna be one hell of a threat. -
The covenant.
We’re all excited for this return and maybe the covenant will help the humans fight this new threat. -
Chief is back and looking better than ever.
-
Multiplayer gameplay.
After watching the ViDoc the multiplayer looked really balanced and fun to play. I honestly don’t care about sprint because it will play a minor role in multiplayer. -
Multiplayer maps.
The maps are being made specifically for competitive reasons and don’t make an appearance in the campaign. This is good because we won’t have to play on some map that was just filtered out from campaign that no one could really get around on. -
720p graphics!
-
Cortana is returning which makes the campaign 20% cooler.

Couldn’t really care, so long as the make them balanced in multiplayer.

Whats the point if it isn’t based on skill?

If it’s based on time, you shouldn’t get an advantage for no lifing a game. If it’s based on skill than the already better player should get even more advantages. Cosmetic unlocks, couldn’t really care. A hybrid of time and skill to unlock certain things would be good (i.e no “haunted” without being a 5 star general level 50 for example)

More is not better. If it’s at the cost of balance, it’s not a good thing.

Means nothing if they’re still terrible.

I play on 1080p. It’s still crappy and upscaled. Still 30fps too and don’t even bother “but you can’t tell the difference between 30 and 60fps” kids

Has no effect on the “coolness” of campaign.
What’s all this “20% cooler” business?

Satans, you clearly aren’t looking forward to the game and whatever 343 did you would find something to moan at. I can respect your opinion, but continually bashing whatever anyone else says and whatever 343 does can get a little dull.
Good post op. No bloom and BR are the big ones for me, which happened to be the two of the biggest things on this forum before the ViDoc.
> @SatansReverence I’d rather a solid 30fps than a peak 60fps with a trough at sub-10.
So would I.
I honestly doubt we will get that though since it’s still the same game engine just pushed further.
The game would look so much better if they just threw out that terrible engine.

I’m actually excited about what we know concerning the BR in Halo 4. Too bad there is so much crap that just isn’t Halo in it as well. Hopefully we learn later that all this casual cod crap that’s getting added is only for specialised playlists and customs.

Damn you are so freaking negative. I can easily be a -Yoink-, and say, “why are you still complaining about sprint? Means nothing if it’s already in the game.”

And I thought I was the one with negativity issues.
I could say I respect your opinion, but if you see so much bad in Halo 4, is this really your place?
Thanks for the post OP.
Ya no kidding everybody just stop looking at the negative for once
‘1. New vehicles.
I was always a fan of the halo vehicles and I can’t wait to see the vehicles in this game. Frankie made me madly excited when he said there would be a vehicle that would dwarf the cyclops that we could control.’
Yeah, i’m waiting to see what they come up with. Hopefully they will make some good UNSC additions to the sandbox. Personally, I’d like to see them breathe new light into the Halo Wars Grizzly Concept art and give us a main battle tank.
Of course, i’m waiting on information about the good old warthog. I hope the Vehicle health and Turret overheat return. Made Warthog runs feel soo much more exciting in Reach than 3. Halo 3 just dosen’t have that same feeling of risk, where that hog starts flashing red and it’s time for an overhaul. The Turret overheat just added another layer of skill to the Warthog gun, Managing your fire rate. No more warthogs zipping along the map constantly firing.

Annoying. If you hate the changes in Halo 4 so much, why are you still here in the Halowaypoint forums? your logic makes zero sense.
OT, Agreed with the Cortana part. I really her character it’s so unique and Chief and Her have some really good chemistry.
How about this?
Halo 4’s campaign at first was going to be more linear and cinematic, but they decided against that in favor of the more sandbox-style approach. I believe they said that somewhere, I can’t remember.
So at the very least, the campaign won’t be bad gameplay wise, unless the enemies are boring to fight.

Opinions are one thing, but you… your just everything that’s wrong with the world.
Every post I see you in is something negative. You’re the last person that 343i should be listening to. Are you trying to come off as a butthurt 12 year old? That’s what it sounds like.
And i just saw you in a thread saying “sprint is worse than armor lock” lololol
you even have the perfect 12 year old XBL name

sandbox style campaign does not automatically mean a good campaign. No matter how interesting the enemies are to fight.
Honestly, I really cannot say I care much for campaign. I will just finish it on solo legendary the day I get the game like I have done on the last 3 Halo games and than rarely if ever touch it again.
I miss Halo 2s campaign were you weren’t restricted by stupid invisible walls and kill barriers.

I’m sorry that you lack any understanding of high level competitive game dynamics where becoming a statue for a few seconds is nothing more than a minor inconvenience.
And really? Try to call me a 12 year old? -Yoinking!- lol.
Unlockable stuff is not necessarily a positive.
Halo 3’s system of unlocking armor was good, you unlocked items as rewards for performing actions or getting achievments with a couple of milestone based pieces.
If the cR system returns along with the Reach armory system, I will be disappointed. That was just a ploy to squeeze you for as much play time as they could, by having certain armor unlocked at higher ranks. How do you get to higher ranks? Certainly not through skill, just through sitting and playing the game more. It was cheap and transparent.
All armor should be available for purchase from the start, with more basic pieces being cheap and more complex or cool pieces being more expensive. You’ll still have people playing more to save up for the cooler pieces they might want, but it won’t be at the ridiculous level where you need to get to General rank just to by a certain piece of armor.
And on top of that, you can still have certain pieces unlocked via milestone or through achievements and actions.
