I know there have been many arguments about what is a tactic and what isn’t, but I am hoping that this one is the decider, as I will use the official, recognised definition of “tactic”.
Tactic- an action or strategy carefully planned to achieve a specific end.
That specific end could be Achilles. In which case, farming is a tactic.
Camping is a tactic devised to win the game, it is definitely a tactic.
Hacking/Modding: This will achieve the most controversy. Hacking/Modding is definitely an action and the specific end is to win the match. Don’t get me wrong, Hacking/Modding is the least respectful thing a gamer can do. I am in no way trying to promote it (don’t ban me plz!) but technically, it is a tactic.
Now, the same logic could be applied to state that betraying/idling/quitting etc is a tactic. The specific end is to spoil others experience, so, again, it is still a tactic but is very disrespectful.
I hope this thread will clear things up for people, and maybe spark a passionate debate.
People will put their fingers in ther ears and sing so they can’t hear you because the truth hurts them, somehow. I guess they want something to moan about.
You cant really promote hacking anyway, there haven’t been hacks on the Xbox One yet. In terms of mods the only ones you’ll see are developer supported mods on games like Fallout 4. So it really isn’t something people care about.

The objective in warzone is to score more points than the enemy by killing bosses and capturing bases which will then end in a victory or you capture all three bases and you go to the enemy’s home base and destroy their core.
Farming as you call it, is sitting outside the base of the enemy with all three bases captured and refusing to kill any bosses and refusing to destroy the core and you are sitting there killing the enemy team for your personal gain for 15 to 20 minutes without the enemy team having a chance to fight back sure it might be tactic as you call it but it is one of the most cheapest tactics you can ever perform enjoy your tactics why I report you for unsporting conduct.
Thank You

These are Tactics in my eyes:
Camping/Farming
Going for the last hit on Legendary Bosses (Its part of the game people, get used to it)
Crouch Shooting (A way to win gun battles)
Hacking/Moding (This is an Illegal Tactic by game standards, you can get banned)
I see nothing wrong with farming in warzone. It is an unranked gametype with an exploit the developers don’t seem to care about fixing. This is why everything should be ranked to ensure even matches. I would doubt even matched teams would have farming issues.
But this is comming from a guy who hates warzone, and I only play it occasionally for some req points if I have a good rp boost to use.
By this definition, AFKing is also a “tactic” since said “goal” could have been to reach a specific amount of online matches or victories, for example for certain achievements, or the Raider DSTT armor in Halo 4 which was obtained by completing 1000 war games.

Yeah, if we’re looking at the actual definition of Tactic, I guess it’s easy to say that there is a difference between unsportmanlike, and tactic, but a tactic can definitely be unsportmanlike. Good post.

If the objective is to kill bosses, capturing bases and whatnot, why then sir do you gain points for killing the opposing team? The objective is to win, as a team, choosing your encounters… want to kill only AI? Do it, its warzone, want to kill only other spartans, you can do that too… ITS WARZONE.

Exactly this. However much people don’t like it, it is a tactic.

I’m sure you didn’t “farm” anyone to achieve a 2.1 Warzone K/D, right? Of course not. That would be hypocritical.
Palmer says you can kill spartans for score right at the start, so some people are going to only do that. If you play with randoms, getting spawn trapped is going to happen periodically. It’s inevitable. Time to sack up and accept the occasional game that drops your K/D.

Really I have a 2.1 kill death ratio well who knew thanks for letting me know but no I do not farm I am just a really good player yes they do exist I do not condone farming and my Spartan company does not either and we are a small Spartan company so the next time you accuse someone of farming you better do a little bit better research my friend.

A 2.1 KD shows skill. Farming would increase his KD to over 2.5 if he did it a lot. 2 KD is like 1 in 1,000 players.
