Enough of these theories based off of the little information we currently have. It’s way too soon to speculate. Lets discuss something concrete here.
From what we have gathered from this image of Master Chief and are unidentified Spartan friend, this new Spartan has an ONI logo on his chest plate. This isn’t news to most, its been around the forums for a while. What caught my attention in this boxart/promotional piece, was the Spartans armor. Whether its ONI armor designed for their own Spartans or whatever, the design is pretty cool in my opinion. Whatever direction this Halo is taking, I’m curious how the art direction of the armor permutations will shift. If they look similar to the art style in this image, I will be quiet happy.
What do you guys think? Do you like what you have seen so far, are you hoping for a new art direction with Halo armor?

I do like how the undersuit is now. Just seems more solid.
Just looks to me like they’re carrying on in the direction they started going in Halo 4. Basically, even more futuristic than the already futuristic style.

They’re over 500 years in the future and are reverse-engineering tech from a prehistoric highly advanced civilization. Is looking ‘futuristic’ really a bad thing in this situation?

Makes you wonder if it’s still gen 2 or the customization in Halo 5’s gonna leave more room for variety in what Gen 2 actually looks liken from armor set to armor set.
the head shoulder and arms seem most different, at a quick glance i thought it might have been another forerunner.
All I’m going to say is whoever designed that new Spartan deserves a raise. It looks Badass.
Judging by this single design, The Armors in Halo 5 will look Solid, Yet Sleek in design.

Yeah, The ONI Spartan design looks amazing if the plot somehow told that ONI were secretly building their own teams of Spartans with all of ONI’s research and tech I would lovely dig that.
And that Spartan’s Helmet looked so detailed that it looks like Live action to me sometimes, If that’s what we’re having in Halo 5 then it would be incredible.

I just want for 343 to make all the Armor Perms from now on, they get it. I’d be fine if it’s much less compared to Halo 4.
I think it looks just great.
It looks like a solid power suit/armor.
It kind of looks like a mix of Nano Suit and MJOLNIR and I quite like that.
When all the armor permutations will be of similar design and such quality, I will be more than satisfied.
