Why is it that all these people want a more classic halo, they want to change reach and such? Here is a suggestion: go back to halo 3 if you don’t like Reach. 170k people play reach every single day and because 4-7k want all this change there willing to ruin everyone elses experience to get what they want. Lets say you like the look and speed of reach but you don’t like AA ok.
Suggestions
- Play halo 3
-start a classic gametype for these people so when you click matchmaking it goes to another screen where you click reach or classic for the experience you want.
-Practice. most people don’t like this game because they didn’t jump into it being awesome, guess what no one does.
-Put slayer pro as its on playlist. Slayer pro is to the basics but slightly fast.
Please feel free to suggest anything I would love to know everyones input on this but plase keep it clean.

Change the title please, you’re just asking to start a flamewar. I actually haven’t seen that many people wanting to change Reach as of recent, mainly just people suggesting ideas for Halo 4. 700,000 also play Reach each day, with 800,000 on occasion. Also, it’s not like the forums are the only people wanting change. Reach has sold 8.5 million copies by now. Only about 8% of that entire population is still playing Reach every day. Who’s to say most of those guys who don’t play dislike Reach? I mean I think most people here will accept leaving Reach as is so long as Halo 4 turns out not really like it to appease them. And we won’t go back to previous games and stop complaining about Reach since CE doesn’t have live, Halo 2 was shut down, and Halo 3 is barren, has a bad netcode, and those left are the hardcores, the noobs, and then the people who are AFK’ing and boosting. Reach is really the only choice left as far as halo goes, unless you are willing to put up with Halo 3.
See i like the guy who commented above me. He came in with good solid data and showed me i was wrong in the amount of people and put up a few good suggestions. But about the whole only 8% of people still play reach thing i think that has to do with the fact that ac brotherhood and black ops were release at almost the same time as reach. Halo doesn’t control the world of fps anymore, people are putting out great games with amazing multiplayer that is pushing the envelope on what we can and cannot do.
There are probably people out there who are really good and want to change the way Reach plays to a more ‘classic’ feel. Not everyone who dislikes the way the game is now is a ‘noob’.
Anyway, I really do wish Reach had more of a classic feel. Not to say they need to change the game entirely though. I was one of those people who really didn’t like Reach at all when I first picked it up and played it, because I was garbage. Then, after I gave it some time (okay, it took me quite a wihle…) I got better and started to enjoy it more. I don’t consider myself a pro or anything now, but I’ve definitely improved and it helps.
Basically, I wish that Halo Reach had a more classic feel to it, but I’m also okay with the way it plays as it is right now. I don’t really think anything needs to change, but there are a lot of things I would like to see changed.
I am immature and I have a temper. But there is a difference in having a opinion and just being rude. Also i did not call everyone who likes a more classic halo “kids” i called the people who whine noobs. I myself like to have a more classic experience from time to time but i also would like to continue sprinting around maps jump shoting people cross map with a sniper. That what this thread is about discussing how we can make playlist to satisfy everyone without changing the game. By the way im an adult, not a ten year old ive seen this series evolve from the beginning. I play the games and I like how they turn out so to keep things going i voice my opinion.
So Echo is right this thread isn’t making any progress. So how bout we just suggest playlists that could that you would like to see. Something that could satisfy both new age and classic halo fans.

True, however, Reach has been gaining sales constantly. Not as sharp of a change as the first 2 weeks, but still gaining sales. If competition truly was the problem and not the game itself, why would people be buying it still at a rate of about 100,000 per 2 weeks, but the population constantly hovering around 700,000 per 24 hours? Surely around the same amount of people can’t be leaving as there are coming in every 2 weeks due to competition. Competition truly is a big factor, yes, but I don’t think it’s the main reason why Reach only has 8% of that population still playing. Meanwhile CoD is ruling the Live charts right now. I know when Reach didn’t meet my expectations I tried out playing CoD for the first time as something else to have fun on. Who’s to say countless others didn’t do the exact same thing if they were disappointed, rather than just having competition on the market that’s pulling everyone away, especially when halo has always been that series you come back to after being bored of other games, but just doesn’t seem like it’s happening this time.
