Let's Bring XP per Playlist Back

Simple really in Halo 3 you got xp in what ever playlist you played in IF YOU WON
Each win was equal to 1 xp point in THAT PLAYLIST it doesn’t really show SKILL but more dedication to that playlist or maybe just time played in said playlist

Or maybe Rank per playlist kind of like were you stand vs. others in that playlist

It has No impact on overall SKILL just

Examples
Team Slayer - 550 xp
BigTeambattle - 300 xp
Zombies - 146556 xp
MLG - 23 xp

Its something that will keep people coming back because each game they Rank up in that playlist a little more …

I agree with you agreeing with me

Everyone agrees.

Also, it should have no impact on unlocks, etc.

I always thought this was a cool feature in Halo 3. I would love to see this system return.

I see no problem with this.

I agree with both of you . Playlist XP FTW

Yeah it wouldn’t unlock or do anything other then giving you 1 xp in, that playlist

I agreeeeeeeee!

> I agreeeeeeeee!

Yes

What 2 people voted No

No cookies for them !!!

I love XP per playlist! Ironically, it worked better than the global ranking system!

Why does it matter how much dedication you put into a playlist? People don’t need to know where you stand in the ranks, nor do most care.

Yeah I loved playing TS going for 500 xp general

Its what kept new coming back

And, I believe if halo 4 had this it would add longevity

Why did you post this topic twice?

> Why does it matter how much dedication you put into a playlist? People don’t need to know where you stand in the ranks, nor do most care.

Some people enjoyed it

Remember different people enjoy different things about Halo

Some its a Rank or Xp some its elites some its, the campaign

Agreed

God no.

XP per Playlist was the red headed stepchild of H3, just like Arena was the red headed step child of Reach. The worst bit is that there is no consolation prize for effort. Loosing 49 to 50 is just as bad as loosing -37 to 50.

And IIRC, XPpP was patched into H3 because Global Rank just took a dump on anyone who couldn’t get a 50.

Edit: Your poll is biased because you put Yes first.

HL1: How is that a bad thing? That should encourage players to actually play to win

HL2: lolwut

> How is that a bad thing?

If I give my all but get shot down and unable to advance because the other team was just a little bit better, I’m inclined to not play.

> That should encourage players to actually play to win

You can incentivize winning by heavily rewarding the actions that lead to winning.

> HL2: lolwut

It’s a jab.

Agreed.
