The main thing I want 343 and everyone else to think about is this: this is HALO, a game that is going to make tremendous amounts of money no matter what. Why not build this game primarily for competitive players? If you do that, obviously competitive players will be happy. But at the same time, casual players, who don’t care as much about balance or the more in-depth issues with games, will be happy as well because it will still be a fun game for them.
Make a Ranked and a Social section again and everyone will win. AR and/or BR starts for Social, BR starts for Ranked.

I enjoyed once the anniversary maps and a classic playlist were added. But it still had nothing on Halo 3 for me.

Reach had potential, and overall it was a decent game compared to most other games that are created. But as far as compared to Halo games, it was a joke. It was frustrating, unbalanced, and completely casual-driven. I don’t want to see Halo 4 being taken down the same path. You can make a good game that competitive AND casual players can enjoy. It’s entirely possible; look at Halo 2.

lol no. I only bought the Defiant maps because they were on sale, and all of them sucked. The Noble ones were worse, I’ve heard.

Dual-Wielding is so impractical in almost every situation. Team Duals was also a nightmare. Why do people actually like it?

Pretty much. Halo 2 was great. I wouldn’t mind a Halo 2-3 hybrid with fresh ideas thrown in, as long as they aren’t stupid like AA’s and bloom.

Everything was great in halo reach except the competitive part… I won’t deny that… The only thing halo 4 needs that is from halo 3 is the competitive part but if they don’t have it will still be a great game…
