Let's beat it to death again

So for some odd reason I have not been playing Halo of any sort over the past couple of weeks. However, I always read the forums to see what people are saying/complaining about, and the one thing that I have seen multiple times are people freaking about lag. I know how annoying lag can be and I know we have all gone through it but I was not seeing any problems with lag about a month ago. Well the key word in the previous sentence was the “WAS”. I finally jumped back on with some friends last night and we were playing away, I was playing absolutely horrible as it has been so long I actually forgot how to zoom/beat down. but there was comments from my friends to the affect look at that person jumping around. The first game was not too bad as I did not see a lot of action I was the noob just running around. The second game though. WOW!!! our team was fine, as we were not jumping but the whole other team were teleporting all over the place. All of our movements were fluent and looked normal to our teammates it was just the other team.

So having a host obviously does not work, so as I am not the leading person on information I thought I would reach out and see if anyone else knows.

When they launch these servers for the new xbox one are they going to go from Host to server based???

If they do how does this get rid of lag? As everyone would need to connect to the server to play am I correct to say only those with poor connections would actually lag out?

Has Halo always been host based compared to servers? I personally think no, and I base that off of servers for games being shut down?

Has anyone heard of fixes for this coming down the pipe so Halo 4 is not so bad.

To be honest, I could probably count on one hand how many laggy Halo 4 games I’ve had. I really don’t know where everyone’s coming from, Halo 4 works fine for me. Maybe it’s a location thing, but I live in the UK, and it works fine for me.

I could count how many non laggy matches I’ve had in my last month of matches in my history on 1 hand.

Same for me. I know that the host always has little advantages like eating one or two bullets more than he should, and I am fine with that because I better than the host most of the time. (Host always goes to poor SR20 noobs -_-)
But when you cant win because the enemy team is flying around and you dont even know where you are standing it goes to far.

I always play with the same people, and if its laggy for me, it is also laggy for them. We live in Switzerland and have maybe one of the best connections ever, but 343I thinks, hey, no, lets give the host to that mexican guy, even when all the other players are from europe -_- It doesnt matter how good YOUR connection is, it only matters how good the host ones is.

On dedicatet servers it only will be laggy for the people that have a -yoink- connection. If your connection is normal, the game will be normal.
