Dear fanbase, yes you.
After the preview of Halo 4 today I’ve seen alot of forumposts surrounding this topic, that it’s amazing, perfect, awful, disgusting, horrible and so on. This happens every single time we get info or something new about a game. People say the first thing that goes through their head, and have this superurge to post their opinion and state is as a fact, and everything else is complete BS.
All I’m saying is: Be moderate. I’m sure 343i has a plan, and what we’ve seen so far, is promising. Atleast from my perspective. It looks like they’ve discovered what bungie did wrong, and what they did right, and shaped the game so on. Multiplayer maps are completely buildt up from scratch, with no “complete” relevance to the campaign, and they’re designed for some “competative” play. That is all jolly good to me. However, let’s not take this info like it’s written in stone. Yes it’s great, yes we’ve seen MP and how it works, but I think I’m safe to say that noone of us has played it yet, and even further, written a review about it.
So feed on the info we’ve got so far, but don’t glorify and praise the game like it’s amazing yet, or on the contrary, flame it and hate it because it didn’t look like how it looked in your wet dream. If you keep it short and content, then it’ll be alot easier to deal with. We all knew how “godlike” Reach was gonna be (I love Reach) , but don’t sell the pelt before the bear is shot!(Norwegian term) Sounds limited in english, but it gets out the message.
On a sidenote; 343i, I think you’ve done great so far. What I’ve seen looks great, and I can’t wait to try it out. Keep it up!
