Doom 3 got a full update on graphics which included Doom 3, RoE and Lost Missions along with multiplayer in Doom 3 BFG Edition.
Far Cry is getting an update overhaul on graphics and being releases this summer as Far Cry Classic.
Half-Life 2 and 2 episodes were made with updated graphics in The Orange Box.
Halo CE obviously was updated in Halo CEA.
So to be logical here doesn’t Halo 2 deserve to be updated on and for our consoles? Does it not meet the expectations and greats that the above listed games were? Or does 343 believe Halo 2 is trash and beneath them? Other developers can update graphics and spit out games and remakes with no problem… but Halo 2 (not officially announced but semi officially denied) gets this type of treatment from the new Halo developers?
Listen to your fan base. Bring back old school Halo one last time. 343, just be logical.
Thanks.

This forum doesn’t represent the entire Halo fan base, very little people want Halo 2 Anniversary to make it worth doing.
Halo CE only has an Anniversary version for a celebration of ten years of Halo on Xbox, not ten years of Halo CE.
There is literally no reason to have a HD version of Halo 2 other than to please the minority.
So they released Halo:CEA just to please the minority or for the fun of it? They woulden’t spend time on remastering a game if it wasen’t to please fans or earn money.
Halo 2 had a lot bigger community, people i know both IRL and on Xbox Live want’s a Halo 2 remake. Some would even pay a monthly fee to play Halo 2 MP.
A good Halo 2 remaster would be easy money.
HL2 got LESS of an upgrade for Orange Box than H2 did for Vista.

Did I say that? No. Halo: Anniversary was created to celebrate ten years of Halo on Xbox.

This was NOT the point of Halo CEA. The original game was remastered on its anniversary to celebrate 10 years of Halo being one of the biggest franchises in video game history, not the individual game itself.
An anniversary of Halo 2 would be pointless and less of a special occasion. Nobody celebrates the anniversary of a sequel.

Not exactly. My point was that they woulden’t do it just to celebrate (the fun of it) unless they knew they could profit from it.
Funny how people think h2 is inferior to the games I listed above. So I take you don’t want a h2 anniversary? No need to answer that. Your response already said it all.

Obviously they went ahead with it because they’d know they would profit but it was only ever created for celebration for ten years on the franchise.
Halo 2 isn’t worth a remake purely for its 10 year anniversary.

I’d love to see a Halo 2 Anniversary, don’t judge me like that, I’m just saying there is no reason for it to happen.

I strongly disagree, but i don’t think we get much further on this subject.
I believe a Halo 2 remaster will happen next year, i just hope i won’t get disappointed.
Lets see if they make a Halo: Reach remake too?
Pffft I hope they leave it alone tbh, CEA was a waste of money for me.
They can’t even seem to maintain the servers for its multiplayer.
