The Light Rifle (if I’m remembering the name of it correctly), is just a more powerful Beam Rifle with shiny stuff on it. Slap the title of “Reclaimer Artifact” on it all you want, it’s just a Beam Rifle that disintegrates instead of straight up kills, from what I can see.
Main point: this new weapon is being made out to be a much bigger deal than it actually is.

Ummm I coulda sworn the beam rifle had a constant stream, seems to me the light rifle spits out a hardlight single projectile rather than a steady plasma stream

The Beam Rifle is a sniper weapon. 2-hit kill. The Light Rifle is more like a DMR. How are they anything alike? Besides, it’s fundamentally different from any weapon. It’s like saying “Be honest the DMR is just a re-skinned Carbine” when we know that’s not true.
And, be honest… you’re just trying to find some fault because really you WANT there to be something wrong when there isn’t.

Ummm. You do know this is Halo right?
The Carbine is just a BR that shoots twice as fast but does half the damage.
The Beam Rifle is just a human Sniper Rifle that shoots quicker but has to “reload” more.
The AR and Plasma Rifle are pretty much the same.
The Sword and Gravity Hammer are pretty much the same against infantry.

Just because it’s a given doesn’t make it good. Things can and should change when they’re lazy and not conducive to a good game environment.

Yes and the AR is the BR which looks a bit different and is fully automatic.
Also, the pistol is like a spartan laser, but it just shoots bullets and is smaller. BUT IT’S A FRACKING RIPOFF FROM THE SPARTAN LAZ0R!

What does it matter if its the same? As others have said its more along the lines of a Carbine or DMR. But honestly man this doesn’t even need its own section. It looks cool it sounds legendary. Who cares if its similar to another weapon its AWESOME! Thats what matters! More weapons are always welcome!(Just not an absurd amount like COD!)

All I can read in your post is “It’s just a re-skinned Beam Rifle that is different from a Beam Rifle in the following ways”
Listen, a gun is a gun, they’re all “similar”. they’re all going to kill whatever you shoot them at, the differences (and value) of them comes down to how fast they kill, what they sound like, what their rate of fire is, and all those sorts of things.
