I got bored one night and I thought of a probability. What if Let 'Volir is actually the currently Unidentified Shipmaster from The Return. I myself would find that rather interesting since we do not current know of the unidentified shipmaster’s affiliation, we know he is the commander of a CAS carrier and that he was alive at least since 2559. What are your thoughts?
One of the issues I see with this is the fact that the currently unnamed Shipmaster was fighting the Jiralhanae throughout the Great Schism, apparently continuing to 2559. Unless he had an incredibly sudden and near implausible change of heart, I doubt that he and 'Volir are the same. Though, since he is only under Atriox’s Banished for the supplies and the well-being of those under him, I suppose it wouldn’t be too far-fetched.
My theory is that Let 'Volir is a transgender. Seriously though I think Emperor Nova makes a good point. It seems at least a little far-fetched.

It can’t be him.
Let Volir is stated in his bio as not having joined Jul’s faction because he rejects the Covenants religion. In the Return that Shipmaster decides that he will find his own path without the Prophets manipulations. In other words the sort of elite that would have joined Jul and is very religious.

“Path” in that context doesn’t have to mean some sort of the Great Journey. Thel 'Vadam has set out to find his own path without the Prophet’s manipulations.
