Let us choose our spawns in WZFF

Here’s a scenario for you, it’s the final round with about 2 minutes left and a mythic boss surrounded by fodder are still in your way. You decide to call in a scorpion to start heavily damaging the boss, but instead of decimating the boss, you get spawned as far away from the boss as possible (the boss is at one base and you’re spawned at the opposite base). Thanks for wasting my req. Again. The solution to this is let us pick roughly where we’ll spawn in WZFF (by the armouries, bases, or other major landmarks). This would also help alleviate some of the spawn trapping that happens in this gamemode because the AI have been gifted the ability to never miss a shot, made even more irritating by the hilariously long respawn timer (is 20 seconds really necessary? The rounds are only 5 minutes long).

I don’t know why this wasn’t included to begin with. It’s a huge oversight. A lot of times I will spawn too far away to do anything towards the end of the match. Other times I will spawn a vehicle and it will spawn right next to a bunch of enemies that blow me up within seconds.

There are several times where that would have been handy!!! 30 seconds left, let’s spawn you 29 seconds away from the action!

Most definitely needed

It literally takes over 60 seconds to get from blue base to red base on ARC. It looks like it may getting better, today I spawned at the garage. I used to spawn at blue base when the warden was at red base.

I think it’d make Firefight too easy if we were able to choose our spawns.
We don’t want firefight to be a walk in the park now do we.

It’s challenging spawning in with a bunch of enemies and get picked off immediately, or in between two spawning parties, or under a dropship, or infront of a rocket hog…

The way this could be done would be epic aswell. Think of a top down view and you pick where you want to drop. Then you drop in a pod or a pelican drops you off if your in a vehicle. When you drop in a pod it does massive area of effect damage and a pelican drops with air support from wasps.

*Sigh. Yeah, that would be nice to be able to choose where to spawn. It’s so annoying when you have to run across the map.

It would be nice to pick a general facility to spawn in.

Well that is genius lets make people waste there reqs for nothing that will increase the dificulty! its just there to make sure we have to travel acros the map not really a dificulty thing just a time waster

Spawning at the other end of the map… Especially when calling in a vehicle, where every second counts.
Great. -_-

I had this same thought today. I hate the spawn locations. All you need is the buddy spawning from invasion in reach and it would work. Vehicles would be the same though.

Amen!!

This. So much this.
I’m tired of spawning either BotG or in a vehicle, on the full other side of the map furthest from the engagement.
I know I can spawn closer because occasionally that will happen.
There are just too many issues with FF. Wave composition/placement, REQ timer, Respawn timer, Round Timer, level of difficulty (admit it, you’ve thought it), Respawn Placement, or Vehicle Spawn, and Enemy spawns locations (IE Spawning with enemy’s literally surrounding you thus wasting possible REQs).
All 343i needs to do is adjust one of these issues. And Firefight would be so much less of a headache. Adjusting one of these problems could balance it all out. But with all of them piled up on top of us, is it any wonder that the average win ration in FF is so low?
I’m sitting at 22% myself.
