Let’s talk about reach..+ need advice

In my humble opinion, I love halo reach, ties as my favourite (halo 3) I love the multiplayer - the Spartan customisation, the campaign! I think it was done beautifully. Additionally, the community custom games use to thrive, I honestly believe this is one of the best halos I’ve ever played, can you guys tell me why some people don’t like it? I’d love to know everyone’s opinions. I keep halo 3 as my favourite as it was the first game I truly fell in love with, so my nostalgia keeps that in the top spot. I did enjoy halo 2 and CE, but halo 3 pulled me into being a hardcore halo fan. However I say “hardcore” with hypocrisy as I am now only about to buy H5, do you all recommend it? And what’s the best thing about it’s multiplayer and it’s campaign? I can’t wait to delve into halo again.

additionally I really did like halo 4, I love the 2v2 and big team battles, I just didn’t like the personalisation that’s much.

Halo Reach is one of my most favorites too, but I left it because I don’t feel there’s no more incentive for it. But I sure do understand why some people hated it.
To start, it introduced armor abilities, another gameplay element that was stuck to the player forever, ESPECIALLY sprint and armor lock. Sprint is sprint and is what divides the Halo community the most. Armor lock is just straight garbage. Allowing you to survive a direct Rocket blast with the press of a button? Preventing splatter and maybe even kill the driver AND the vehicle? No… just no.
Another thing is the bloom. It affected Reach a lot and gave a very different experience than any other past Halo game. However, I don’t see it’s inclusion too intrusive. It forces you to learn to pace your shots and I honestly liked that, because it discouraged mindless spamming.
As for the campaign, the most common argument is the lack of unique personalities for Noble Team. However, there is a very valid counter-argument. Is the story focused on the characters? Or the setting? Is it about a fireteam of Spartans? Or is it about the planet you’re fighting for? Reach was a bloody and brutal battle, as not only was it the last major obstacle between the Covenant and Earth but it was the UNSC’s military stronghold. Thel 'Vadamee, the one responsible for the second invasion, claimed it to be his best victory. Not to mention that Jameson Locke said that after Reach fell, it was VERY unlikely for the UNSC to win the war, if not, outright impossible. They only won by 2 miracles. Chief and the Great Schism. Anyway, each character of Noble Team fit their role perfectly. There isn’t much needed characterization because this story isn’t about them. Their given their role and they fulfill it.

About Halo 5: The best thing about it’s campaign is… uh… Buck?

> I want a drink. Where’s my drink? Gimme my drink!

Multiplayer is where it shines, quite a lot may I add. Lots of weapons and vehicles, loads of creative and fun custom games, expanded Forge, Custom Browser, the list goes on. It’s one of the best MP in my opinion, only held back by: ADS, Sprint, bad customization, broken theater, REQs (Microtransactions, altho they’re not P2W unless you only play Warzone)… unfortunately, the list goes just as deep.
