Let’s Give 343 Credit, December Update Is Great

The forge update meant nothing to me with a customs browser, excuse the pun but this update could actually be a game changer for me! I hope so

They never used the words canceled, its just not priority right now

Thanks Bud!! But how do you host a game?

I get splitscreen was a failed promise. But that didn’t determine the game being a failure. There is credit to be given in many other places than just that.

You mean you don’t look at the forge creation content being shown as of right now as something remotely interesting? You value probably 2 hours of playing splitscreen before never touching it again, more valuable than anything else they could release to Infinite?

Its something that you actually got to learn. Better creations always come with more complex tools. This isn’t 2010. As I say again, this creations in Infinite are by far better than any forge mode in previous games. If you can’t use it, its just a you problem. And if its something you can’t control, then don’t even worry about it.

Thanks Bud! One last question, Is there anyway to find out for sure that your game is being hosted?

Getting the Custom Game Browser a full 4 months earlier than expected is amazing! again its a start on how they are turning things around. relax

Make sure to set your Halo Infinite custom game lobby to Open in the lobby options so your game appears in the custom games browser. This will allow random players to join you at any time.

Failure? the game is struggling on both Xbox 'active players and Steam charts. It’s barely anywhere near the numbers that Halo used to get. Heck even BF2042 has been doing better.

1 thing alone was not the sole reason. It was a domino effect where multiple things happened.

Forge seriously? there’s already a lack of good AAA maps and the forge itself is awful and a broken mess. Nobody is saying people can’t make good content on there but that doesn’t mean I’m going to magically enjoy the tool kit provided within the game.

Also to assume what I will do with splitscreen is just speculation. I’ve had plenty of hours playing classic on splitscreen so don’t pretend like I would barely use it. All that sounds like is deflecting the complaints.

Learning a tool kit has nothing to do with the enjoyment of the software. If that was true then explain to me why I hate Halo 5’s forge and yet I love using UE5 for years. Your logic is flawed. I’ve had 7 years to learn H5 and still disliked it. Your logic is nonsense.

you might just want to come back to the game in 2024 or end of 2023 and see if its fixed, if not you can play other games. you aren’t forced to play infinite. i felt how you feel now. i just don’t let it get to me anymore. i have accepted that its years away from a complete game.

The irony of that is still MCC population struggles and the way Infinite has been handled…all I’ve seem to be doing these days is playing other games. I wish 343i would better manage the game. It’s deeply concerned for the future of the IP.

Whatever Halo used to get was because of its situation then. Why even compare what Halo is now to before when gaming was completely different then? And didn’t BF 2042 just let their 70 dollar game, go 80% off for black Friday? Not to mention, being temporarily free? You’re literally comparing a game that is killing itself for attention.

Unless you can convince anyone that you wake up every morning, actually dying to play splitscreen and not anything else, there is no actual reason for you to be using this as your concern. I may be “deflecting complaints” but that’s because this is fact. If you want a splitscreen experience with someone, play a game that can revolve around it. And if you already do, why keep coming back here to say Halo sucks just because it doesn’t have splitscreen?

You talk like you’re the only one who knows how to use this software, and that makes your experience more valid. There are other people who showcase using UE5 and still can use Infinite’s forge. A lot of them showcase themselves on their own media platforms as well to prove it. Or even myself, who don’t even use any softwares but find using the Infinite’s forge pretty easy because I actually tried to learn it without a fit.

So again, its just a you problem. Your experience doesn’t speak for everyone. Why even come back here if you play other games?

What happened to Ranked Doubles?

ngl the last 2 months before the winter update I literally could not keep playing, it just felt like a infinite cycle with repeating maps and modes, but this last update I finally found “fun” in the game after 6 months, of course there is still some problems like bugs and connectivy but with the custom browser and playlist it was enough ( for me ) to return and play casually as before. This doesnt mean the game is complete and fully capable of keeping us playing for the next years, but is a good step foward to new stuff and content. The only thing I hope they should focus more is trying to release content more often and try their best to listen the community.

Meh, just yet another smoke and mirrors kind of update. Crossplay/desync is still there, melee is still too strong and has too little cooldown, theater is still useless after a whole year, each gun on consoles still controls differently, and so on and so on.

Recently released MW2 does all of that just fine from day one, as bad as it it, at least it gets those fundamental basics done right, and here 343 struggles with the most simple, basic features every other online shooter out there does justbright from the get-go.

But hey, at keast something, anything is going on with Halo as of recently, which does give some small hope for the future, but still… For starters, let me disable crossplay just like I can choose regional matchmaking instead of global, because there’s just something wrong between XB and PC connection which is single-handedly responsible for desync, whenever there’s a console-only match the game runs absolutely flawlessly, but the more PC players there are the worse it gets, and this stupid game throws me into games where 5-7 players are unkillable desync PC guys, and then on top of that I’m getting punished with bans for rage quitting those pointless/hopeless matches… For me personally the game is broken/unfinished until the above is resolved, no matter what they’ll add doesn’t matter at all when you guns shoot air instead of bullets, melee doesn’t connect, nades don’t do anything at all, Needler’s needles don’t attach etc.
