I think a good start to getting Halo Infinite back on track is bringing back weapon attachments from Warzone in H5. You had the long barrel that boosted red reticule range, the laser sight that tightened bloom, the stability jets that reduced recoil, silencer that kept you off radar, etc etc.
Carefully selecting the right attachment for your play style was a big part of being successful at warzone, and I think it could help a lot in Infinite. Whatcha say?
Yet another post that shows how much Halo infinite is lacking and how much better Halo 5 was. I wonder when people will realize we actually had it better back then.
Yes. Everything you mentioned should come back just as it was in halo 5. It was great in warzone and fun in custom games
Esspically when you got to put them on forge maps.
I was a fan of the different scopes like the sentinel scope
For custom games/forge that allow for player creative freedom in and certain/limited playlists? Sure why not, let creativity run rampant.
As a core gameplay mechanic for standard modes? Absolutely not, the current iteration of limited equal player starting kits and core sandbox balancing works fine as is.
Only limited/certain game mode playlists that specify this feature and creative modes like forge/custom games, absolutely let em run wild. Player creativity should utilize as many tools at its disposal as 343 is able to cram into this game.
Have to side with Trando on this one, I don’t think these things belong in Halo and I’m a strong believer that these things are what led us here. 343 started this BS with Halo 4’s loadouts/perk system and it just went from there into Halo 5’s awful Warzone and AA’s direction. Yeah maybe having this in 1 game mode would be fine and of course allowing it be options in customs/forge… but do not mess with Big Team Battle or anything of the sort, this braindead developer doesn’t need any help ruining BTB more.
Yea I liked the sentinel scope too. On the BR it was only useable with stabilization jets though, to stop your reticle from bouncing around like a ping pong ball in the gold medal match.
That was my go-to on Battle of Noctus where you could bang perfects with your BR left and right with that package.
What about as map pickups? Along with the armor ability equipment we could have weapon equipment, so you say pick up a long barrel and have better red reticule range for a life.
Well having a choice in the custom games options is mainly what I’m asking for. Having them being placed in forge too. There is no warzone so all these varaints would just be pickups. I don’t see any problem with that.
I never liked the attachment system. All it did was further complicate an already convoluted sandbox.
Halo plays best when each weapon has it’s completely unique identity. When you give the player the ability to manipulate that identity it just muddies a clean sandbox. The weapon variants are already something I’m iffy about, and am thankful they haven’t made their way into matchmaking yet.
I shouldn’t have to play a guessing game when someone has an AR of “is that AR going to have way more range than it already has because of an attachment? Or am I going to instead get punished for getting too close because it can Melee me in one hit, or is he not going to appear on radar because it’s silenced?”
I’d rather get new weapons added to shake things up any day of the week.
So what’s worse? Halo 5’s Warzone way of handling vehicles or Halo Infinites broken slow drip for vehicles in BTB so you get… errrr 30 seconds at the end of the match with the Tank? Hahahaha!
You missed out my dude. When you have a full squad of 12 players where everyone is calling out and strategizing to the max, like taking bosses down and pushing this area and that, let me tell you that was the most skillful and competitive Halo I’ve ever played hands down.
