Back to topic - We have a not little number of smurf accounts in the game of some “wanna-be” pro`s out there who want to show how “good” they are while just playing with their smurf accounts instead of their main account.
Why cant we ban the smurf accounts and their main account from the game? SInce Halo 5 we have there really much smurf accounts. (Of course in Halo 3 there was some smurfs too) but its insane how mad that is now.
I’d say it’s more of an oversight on Microsoft’s part than anyone else. Back in the day, Smurf actually cost money. So it could be justified. But now if you have a single gold account, you can make unlimited Smurf for free.
With that in mind, it shouldn’t be too difficult at all to be able to link their smurfs to their mains. I think if anything, it should just consolidate your ranking across the board via linked accounts.

So how is someone that is unranked supposed to place in Onyx then if they can’t play against Onyx players? The whole point of placement matches is to play against various skill levels to determine where best to place that player.
That being said, the system should take into account that player’s actual MMR and how new the account is.

How to test new strategies if there is no unranked 1v1 Playlist? As long as it does not exist, it is given to Smurfs.
i dont understand smurfing at all. I win like 75% and struggle to find enemies @ onyx sometimes.
i couldnt reach champion last season, so if i would spare some time to play a smurf, i would even struggle to reach onyx.
Mainly because i got serveral disconnects a week, which always costs like 60% of the acual rank.
So 2 days a week are winning just to get the disconnected percentages back.
in big communites smuring istn a problem, because new accounts get high ranked pretty fast if you win most games.
@ halo wars its a problem, because even if you win 50 games straight away, you still get matched against unranked, silver, gold and platin.
With a big community that 50-0 accounts would have to play against champions all day, or atleast vs onyx all day.
