Let’s appreciate 343

When you compare MCC at launch to MCC today it’s a whole new game.
Personally I think everything they’re doing is amazing and they really seem to be trying to accommodate for the players across-the-board.

343 I’m sorry for all the players that are constantly finding something to complain about but I believe the majority are truly satisfied

Nah not really. Halo 2 is in a much worse state than it was at launch. Cosmetics don’t really improve gameplay or keep people playing. 343 has not done one positive thing for halo 2 save for maybe the recent fall damage update which took years to accomplish. Also don’t speak for everyone because I promise you that the reason you don’t hear much negativity about 343 is because they pushed the OG players to the side and we moved on to other games.

Not to mention the state of CE, both competitively and socially

Complaints and criticism aren’t the same as abuse. And as customers, we are entitled to give our feedback on the product we purchased, especially given that games are treated as more of an ongoing service than a one-time purchase these days.

That is not to excuse the people who do just throw abuse at 343. It is understandable that people can get upset sometimes, and when it regards something they are very passionate about you can see why they are so protective of it. That does not mean you can be deliberately obnoxious all the time. But equally someone who has an emotional reaction from time to time or offers criticism should not be lumped in with those being deliberately malicious or obtuse.

MCC had a rough launch. We should not forget that or the mistakes 343 made. They themselves definitely should not forget the lessons from the early years.

But credit should always be given where it is due. The updates to the collection have not always been perfect and I do not think the job is finished. There are still bugs and missing features present. They must be addressed.

However, I do see that a lot of effort has been made to make things right and even expand and improve upon the original collection. So yes, kudos to 343 for their efforts. I hope you keep it up.

I’m happy for 343 and that they pretty much saved Halo MCC. Doesn’t mean I wish Halo 2 and CE could’ve gotten more attention, but they are in as good states as they were when they launched. That should be more than enough for us.

Also, everyone complained about H3 having too much content despite being the most populated Halo game, and now people are complaining that CE and 2 don’t have enough. If people are going to negatively review new Halo content, why should 343 take that risk of making more for an already old and nostalgic game? I’m sorry, but Bungie’s Halo is as good if not, better than it has ever been and 343 succeeded in completing a fantastic series.

Are we going to forget 343 abandoning the game for a few years leaving it in a broken state

You are right… they are adding in a whole bunch of new bugs that didnt exist on day 1. Like the spartan ops progress bug added in season 7…

Personally I am very happy that 343 Industries finally made the Halo Master Chief Collection an amazing experience on PC, Xbox Series X and Xbox One. They did a really good job with all of the seasons and updates in the Halo Master Chief Collection. At the same time, they also did a really good job fixing the graphics from the Halo Combat Evolved Classic version and the Halo 2 Classic version.

Here is another part that makes me very happy. I am very happy that 343 Industries finally bring back the Classic HUD from the original Halo Combat Evolved Xbox version. I can say this right now, Halo Combat Evolved is having a much better experience on the Halo Master Chief Collection especially when it comes to the gameplay, visual effects and graphics in the Halo Combat Evolved campaign levels.

After seeing what 343 Industries have done with the Halo Master Chief Collection, this makes me even more excited to see the next updates in the game. Hopefully they will consider doing a Season 9 and a Season 10 in the Halo Master Chief Collection.

343 has given us a lot. They have done an extraordinary job listening to us and adding what we asked for the most. Back when I’d play MCC for fun in it’s early years, before the social browser, before reach was added, before odst was added, before firefight, before cgb, before global ranks, etc…I could have never even imagined all that we have now. 343 has made MCC one of the very best game collections of all time, easy. There is not even anything that comes close. So yeah, haters are going to hate and will always complain but I speak for the lover crowd that appreciates the massive ongoing effort and looks forward to the future of MCC.

Thanks, 343.

It shocks me the most how a Missing Sun was more important then the current state of Halo 2 but how would I know I’m spoiled as the other guy said

We waited years for the ability to choose our servers to make the game more fair. The other company didnt care about their european customer base and im really glad EU servers finally happpened.

Please don’t say Halo 2 is worse than what it was at launch.

Halo MCC is amazing! It’s so much fun to play. And if I take MCC as “one game”, it’s quite a long campaign.

Lol halo 2 mcc is literally unplayable on the competitive level due to core problems but all we get is snow on lockout and a sun. It’s just a massive joke at this point, like I think they are going out of they’re way to not fix actual issues.

Halo 2 is worse than it was at launch, there you go. You must not be familiar with the bullet velocity issues, the frame rate issues, and hit registration issues with halo 2 classic MCC. Everything you copy and pasted is all visuals save for the fall damage. If you would read through my entire post carefully you would see that I am arguing that visuals don’t keep players playing games which has been proven time and time again.

I agree. Overall, I’m satisfied with how this collection was brought to the PC. Having my all time favorite game (Halo 3) on a platform I’d never thought it would come to is really a joy. I’m aware of the issues with CE 's and 2’s multiplayer, but to be frank I rarely play multiplayer period so I have to admit ignorance for that part.

No you literally said 343 have not done one positive thing for Halo 2 since launch. Completely ignoring the hard work that they keep putting in with these updates. This update is so important from a legacy standpoint bringing the game closer to the og version. For me, this was more important than fixing the bullet reg, mainly because I don’t care for Halo 2 multiplayer
