I suspect this is a non-starter with 343i because people won’t want to buy all the crazy crap if no one else can see them, but I absolutely hate the flaming body armor and the special death effect where the big orange skull pops out.
I’m dreading the coming year where I assume this is going to get worse and worse and they’ll keep adding more crazy cosmetic stuff.
I would prefer that they just not make any stupid stuff in the first place, especially if it’s animated, but at least let us disable it. If you want to see rainbows shoot out of your -Yoink!- every time you jump or something, that’s fine, but don’t make me have to see it too. I think the wacky death animations are particularly egregious. I don’t need this additional assault. I’ve already been killed!
I’m also worried that some art designers won’t be able to help themselves and will design like tiger print Warthogs, solid gold Scorpions, and put partner logos on everything like Monster Energy and stuff.
