So LCE came early but im now told we cant play till the 27th which was not stated anywhere in the LCE or on the store page of the LCE so therefore i feel that is False advertisment(being as the date advertised for LCE was 20th) so i feel anybody with LCE should be aloud early access immediately as there are those that have a retail disc copy from smaller stores that dont care about the release dates
how about we don’t, and say we did? BTW its not false advertisement because the LCE SHIPPED on the 20th…doesn’t say you can PLAY when you get it.
This was revealed quite a while ago, 343 said that they are giving LCE owners early digital codes for the game, but they could turn them in for physical copies if they wanted. Understandable confusion, however even if they didn’t say that, it wouldn’t be false advertising just because they shipped it to you early, they advertised that you could play it on the 27th, and that’s when you’ll get to play it.
The official release for the game is the 27th. I have the LCE and didn’t even know I could pick it up early, it was a nice surprise. Just be happy you have the game installed ready instead of waiting in a queue for it to hit 12:01am to pick up your LCE.
Would be cool
but not gonna happen
Hi OP, it’s not false advertising. Halo 5 has always been advertised as releasing on October 27th, never any other date. Back at E3 and ever since then, it has always been mentioned that the reason LCE was released onthe 20th was due to it shipping with a digital code instead of a disc - to enable players to pre-download the game ahead of release. Retail stores breaking street date isn’t 343’s fault
mine is preloaded!!!

Yeah, the download time is going to kill me after I pick up my copy from Gamestop.
I brought the LCE and imo believe that the owners of it shouldn’t be able to play it earlier than everyone else.
The box literally comes with a digital copy. Digital as in same as other digitals. Which dont activate til the 27th.
This has been common knowledge since it’s announcement.
I got the LCE. In no way did I think I could play it early. Would be nice though.
Yeah It doesn’t seem like a false advertising thing at all. You still get to enjoy the rest of the stuff until launch.
The fact that you couldn’t play Halo 5 before the 27th even if you bought the LCE was stated literally everywhere. It’s your fault if you bought a $250 Limited Edition without truly knowing how it was going to work.
Just wait till the 27th… you don’t have long to wait.
I got the LCE and was just stoked to have it pre loaded and be able to mess with the Metal Earth statue, and to see the size of the Chief/Locke statue as well. Pre loaded and ready to go on the 27th.

hw about no since the release date for Halo is the 27th. how about you do a little research before a purchase if you really feel there was false advertising. I have the LCE and I do wish I could play it, but it would not be fair at all to the other people
My friend got LCE and im just getting the LE. Id be super pissed if he got to play it before me
Obvious troll is obvious.
People like OP don’t like fairness and succumb to selfish desires. That being said, the answer is no. There will not be early play for people that purchased LCE. You paid for what was advertised in that package which did not include playing the game 4 days earlier than street release date.
Wouldn’t this go to whole pay for an advantage complaint? Because a person pays $250 for a game means they should have a 7 day advantage over players who pay $60- $100? I thought the consensus was we don’t want pay to win advantages in Halo?
I know whats coming, what advantage would there be? Well for starters, having 7 days to play the game before the majority of the community gets to gives you a huge advantage over developing strategies, collecting cards for war zone, learning the maps. Halo has always been super competitive. If you don’t see how 7 days turns into a massive advantage then I can’t help you see it.
