Let 343i make HALO 4!!

Why are there so many posts about personal preference on this game?

They are obviously headed in a positive direction. E3 shut up a lot of the Halo haters & critics.

Just let them work!

If you’ve even played one match of reach within the past couple of months, you should have realized they know what they are doing.

They are smart enough to know that Halo players don’t want a copy of CoD or else we wouldn’t be playing Halo in the first place.

Let them know of the changes you want AFTER you’ve played it. I’m confident it’s going to be great!

343i are doing an excellent job…

@OP well put sir.

i dont see why so many people complain 343 are doing great.

What else is there? I know being negative isn’t always great but people have only their own opinions about what they are seeing to go from. I am really glad to see how passionate people are about the game. I am sure throwing my opinions out there so why would I want others not to. I am sure 343 doesn’t look to the forums for guidance on every little thing but it is a nice place to give feedback and let them know how you feel. Everyone is entitled to their opinion after all each of us is going to be shelling out at least 60 bucks and hopefully be playing it for a long time to come. It also may be a bit late after the fact but I do see what your saying about complaining about a game you haven’t played but for some what they are seeing is enough to give substantial feedback on what they like and what they don’t.

Disagree. People are allowed to decide as to whether they like the game or not (regardless of its completion) and threads which do criticise H4 (provided they are not hate threads) promote discussion and stimulate the brain to think (something which needs to be done more now-a-days). The forums may be like a war-zone but it is a very beneficial war-zone!

Yes, I agree.

I don’t mind constructive criticism, and I love this game so far. I’m most deeply excited for the classic playlists they’re putting into the game, I’m excited to see what they play like.

As do I. People just love to cry about anything.

The ONE thing 343i has done right with Reach matchmaking is the inclusion of the new Invasion maps.

Bad decisions:

  • Removing Squad Slayer
  • Not title updating the entire title
  • Not making DLC required in major playlists
  • Adding unnecessary playlists

And although it doesn’t “ruin” anything it sure is annoying having a pop-up EVERY time I turn on the game.

my biggest gripe are with those who choose to complain about certain things without even playing the game or better put elements of the game that would require actually playing it in order to formulate an actual opinion. i mean there is still lots to be discovered when the game finally comes out. all we have to go off are vids, pics, and what others are saying. 343 still has time to change some things if they see fit. i reserve a lot of my own opinions till i actually play it.

343i are doing an excellent job…

I think they’re doing a great job so far. Hopefully they’ll kick their advertising up a notch over the next few months.

  1. Meh, wasn’t a massive fan as my internet connection wasn’t good enough to find people. Unfortunately for those who did like it too little people went on it. It was also full of above average players which made it unpopular.

  2. Many people have got used to Reach as it is. Changing all of it would override the purpose of Reach (even though the TU is much better in many aspects).

  3. This I do agree with. I don’t feel like I’m getting my moneys worth for DLC

  4. I’m curious, what don’t you like?

  5. Yes, it is annoying but at least they care (even if they smother us a bit).

  1. Several thousand at all times. NO AL. ALL Reach maps play better 5v5 apparently. And it allowed that middle ground between Slayer and Invasion/BTB. Objective can’t even boast Squad Slayer numbers. And as much as I enjoy beating up on randoms, full parties played full parties and you want to talk about quick time rivalries . . . No reason to yank it. The most fun I ever had in Reach and potentially Halo matchmaking.

  2. Games are TUd ALL the time. What’s the word all the bad kids use? “Adapt?” Instead of just adjusting once with a TU, we’re forced to change back and forth between multiple playlists. The TU makes Reach play that much better. It makes 343i look uncertain of their own decision making, again.

  3. It’s frustrating especially with the fun Anniversary maps.

  4. It’s ok not to like a playlist, but it remains important as a whole. Like I don’t like MLG or SWAT, but understand their importance. Invasion and Grifball do NOT need their own playlist. Return them to a weekend style playlist. Snipers is meh. Super Slayer obviously. Most can be thrown into the action sack playlist. You’re spreading the population too thin. (I’ll admit I can’t keep up with which developer added which playlist, but 343i can at least delete the unnecessary ones)

  5. “JOIN WAYPOINT!!!”
    “I’m already here.”
“THE MAY UPDATE IS NOW LIVE!!!”
    "It’s June . . . "

Yeah i probably wouldn’t be playing Halo: Reach if it wasn’t for 343i.

  1. Yes I also agree that most of the maps played better 5v5 but with so few people its existence caused too much hassle. Processing power required was higher than the people it attracted. It had to go.

  2. I’m not sure why 343 even made the TU. It does make the gameplay better but by changing the gameplay, is the game is no longer ‘Reach’ but ‘Halo TU with Reach’s maps’ if you get what I mean. One thing is for certain: keeping certain playlists TU and others core Reach causes confusion and frustration. 343 should just choose one. Or make TU for competitive playlists and core Reach for social.

  3. Goes without saying.

  4. Invasion does need its own playlist as it attracts lots of players. Griffball, action sack, community made maps and map testing should all be weekend events. Perhaps slayer 5v5 could also become a weekend event? Condensing the population would take the strain off my -Yoink- internet connection.

  5. The phrase: Killing with kindness, comes to mind

ok, but when 343 comes to us when halo 4 is a competitive flop im just gonna laugh and walk away.
