Lessons to be learned from this debacle

  • Season Passes are garbage. I have never liked the idea of them. I put them in the same group as EA’s Online Passes. I will always buy my content one at a time, and I will never pay for something now that I won’t get for months down the road.

  • Don’t buy LE’s for digital content. I come from the generation of gamers where a Limited Edition meant a shiny case and a making-of DVD, and that’s all we wanted. I didn’t buy the Halo 4 console for FOTUS. I bought it because I needed a new Xbox and it looked badass. FOTUS was just a nice bonus.

  • If you have Halo 4, Xbox Live Gold, and gaming-capable internet, then your budget isn’t tight enough to threaten lawsuits over $10. This is just common sense. Look through that Terms of Service you agreed to. You guys have NO ground to stand on.

  • Free downloaders are not thieves. MS has stated that if we can grab it, it’s ours. Bam. We’re blameless. We took advantage of a glitch in the system, and MS has completely allowed it.

We should be oppressed to rant on Microsoft for this incident?

If I were to recall… the old Xbox 360’s got RRoD due to the lack of an cheap 5$ adhesive that Microsoft refused to include on the system…

No, you can rant all you want. That’s what 98% of the internet is for.

Just don’t honestly expect anything to come of it.

Well, if Microsoft learns from this incident and prevents it from happening again i’ll be satisfied.
