Lesson learned

Hopefully 343 has come to the realization that you can’t cater a halo game to COD fans. The kind of people that love COD want to put the least possible amount of effort into each kill, they don’t want the challenge of 1v1 BR/DMR moments and can’t keep their crosshairs on a guy long enough for a five shot DMR kill. No matter how much halo becomes like COD, the majority of people will leave to go play a COD game when a new one comes out. So lesson learned 343, stop catering to these guys and bring the game back to us, the real fans.

Supporters of this mutated form of halo say that they don’t want an exact replica of a previous halo and that many fans would turn away from a halo that stuck to its roots. First off, I’m not saying they shouldn’t change things, they should! However the changes in H4 are just too extreme. Add a new engine, add new weapons, new maps, etc, but leave the basic gameplay alone. Secondly, COD fans seem to keep coming back to the same crap year after year don’t they? I know halo has fans that are way more dedicated than COD does. Therefore if 343 were to make a classic type of halo game I’m sure the population would do just fine because their is nothing like the uniqueness of a great halo game.

End of transmission…

Most people that don’t like the new changes just play Slayer Pro. If the biggest complaints are that loadouts exist and custom games then there really isn’t much to complain about.

I can’t believe people are actually complaining about being able to pick what guns you use and being rewarded with power weapons.

I guess shine people just want boring halo 3 where you just use battle rifle, bunny hopping, and melee combat.

I’m all set with playing halo 3 all over again.

I’m sorry but I don’t follow. “Shine people”?

*Some

The Load Outs and the weapons don’t bother me, it’s the maps. Some say they are really large, but they feel so small to me and how 343 changed the flow of combat it seems what they needed were Forge World sized maps riddled with obstacles and tunnels to offset the sprint and DMR’s range to balance out the new speed and power of the players.

Also it’s really light in vehicles, the same old core vehicles without any real new ones makes it boring. The Mantis is an okay addition, but no Falcon or any other UNSC air vehicle or Revenant/Chopper lends to a sort of stale, safe, and boring vehicle battles.

H4 is a pretty package, but feels so played safe to protect the interests on Halo core gamers who don’t like new vehicles and the return of BR to sooth their hides, only the DMR is still king on the battlefield and that’s ruffling their feathers. Then the COD gamers who want mobility and perks are unhappy with how Halo shields work on kill times. It’s a mess that reeks of suits working out problems on a big white erase board.
