Seriously guys, shot the crap up. So 343 and Halo4 are off to a rocky start, crap happens, live with it. This isn’t a complaint forum (which 343 might want to think about opening) It makes it hard for the rest of us to have actual discussions when the forum is drowning in duplicate threads of complaints(Crimson map pack, missing codes, _____ is so cheap, just to name a few from today). 343 is a company that has to live up to our expectations, that pressure can cause premature releases, or over sights in trying to keep release dates.
I for one am impressed with how quickly they are able to resolve issues. I work in Tech Support for a web hosting company and know how long it can take to fix something as simple as a web site, so fixing a game that is live without having to take down the server has to be 100x as hard. Everything has glitches and bugs and these kind of set backs are super common.
We only need one thread open for every main complaint and then you should update that thread. That’s how forums are supposed to work. If you keep making a new thread all you do is piss off the other users and make it hard…very hard for 343 to moderate them. If you want to be heard post in the same thread. Dont make your own. If a thread has 300 posts its going to carry more weight to 343 then several hundred new threads. It will also allow them to identify other issues/suggestions that are coming up.
I have seen a few other posts like this wondering aloud what happend to the community, what changed since the days of old. The answer is simple, Facebook! In the years following Halo3 facebook has exploded and more or less taken over the world. (exagerating…but just slightly) Over these years the halo population has grown with each newer generation, all who have grown up with facebook. No one remembers how to use forums, how its supposed to work, they all are used to posting a new message for everything that they have to say. Thus we have 100s of complaint threads on the same topics. Facebook is in charge of the currect “that thread is complaining that the crimson map pack is/isn’t free… but they didn’t explain it my way so I will make a new one.” mentality.
343 take a step back and take a deep breath, you have made an amazing game, that adds to the lore and experience that is Halo. Those who are going to complain are going to do so no matter what you do, so don’t sweatit. If something goes wrong the majority of Halo fans (fans of the series no just MP) are not going to care. Take responsibilty if things do go wrong and say we messed up, sorry, and those who attack you for it can go play COD or whatever they want to spend their time complaining about.
To all of you complainers, shut up. Seriously shut up, you are not going to change anything by making countless threads about the same thing. If you were really going to leave you would have by now. 343i has done an amazing job so far, and deserve the praise of their fans, not their complaints. The graphics are the best to date, campaign was/is amazing, Spartan Ops is a great addition and a great idea I am excited to see where the story goes, MP feels just like MP always has. All in all they have successfully created another memorable entry into the Halo franchise. So as the title says “Less qq more pew pew” (stop crying about crap and go shoot more things).
My sympathies and congratulations and praise go out to 343i.
