The air is charged today, here at the Electronic Entertainment Expo as both gamers and critics alike bathe in the aftermath of the next big thing from Microsoft.
Halo 4, admitted by many as one of the highlights here at E3 this year made its stunning debut, in the form of Campaign footage, Game play that everyone was asking for. Emotions were charged as it opened with live-action footage, something one viewer, 23 year old Jessica Parker, commented as being excerpts from Forward Unto Dawn, the live action 90-minute footage to be shipped with the limited edition of the game. What began as an ambitious project for the original Xbox created by former owners Bungie Studios, turned into a multi-million dollar franchise and quickly became Microsoft’s ‘Flagship Series.’ When asked about multiplayer in the Halo Waypoint Community forums (Halo - Official Site (en)) Frank O’Connor (Frankie) responded that while Burnie, a member of the RvB miniseries cast and crew came to work on a “RvB thing” he got to play the multiplayer. His response to questions about his play-time lead to the response that the new system was “Beefy.”
Halo 4 seems to not only be anticipated by the gaming community, but also by their creators Bungie Studios, who in a tweet posted “Cheers to @HaloWaypoint for a great E3 presentation. They are doing great work on Halo 4.”
E3 this year will hold some fascinating titles, but among Microsoft’s communities, Halo 4 will be hands down the most anticipated title this holiday season. Hope to see you on the Infinity come then, Gamers!
