Legitimate Confusion on Challenges

I get the dislike for the system and hope it’s tuned soon, but for now I have confusion I hope someone can clarify. I’ve tried researching this but can’t find an answer.

How many “weekly” challenges do I have to complete before I can unlock the “ultimate” challenge? In the weekly slots I have, when I complete one, it gets replaced by a new one. I see something about “tier 1, tier 2, tier 3” online, but is there a way I can tell which tier I’m on?

There’s a button you can push on that screen that shows how many more challenges there are after your current ones. I can’t remember how many you have to do total.
