Legit Question, need legit anwser.

Why do you leave warzone matches when all bases are captured by the enemy. Just played a game where we had a very strong fighting chance and the SECOND the enemy managed to grab the last base, 4 people quit and cost us the match because we lost the fighting force.

So my question is this.

Why do you quit games that you have already put a significant amount of time into?

Whats the point? You lose out on all the xp and req points and you get a time ban. You also ruin a game for (minimum) 11 other players.

People do this when the middle base is capped at the beginning of the game to like, why?

Help me legitimately understand what do you gain by quitting.

I don’t want to hear this “because if I’m not having fun then why should I stay” its a legit response (though still a scrubby response) if your playing lets say an arena game which is competitive, though you shouldn’t quit that either.

Im talking about a casual game mode. Who gives a damn about win/lose in a casual game mode so what do you gain by quitting out after spending 15 minutes in the game? I mean you lose almost 2k (possibly more) req points.

Help me understand why you do this.

Like to mention we were at a 250 point lead. So we were winning by a lot and people still quit.

Sunk Costs and Prospective Costs.

EDIT: And

People Wana win

but you just wasted 15 minutes, lost all the xp, and req points and now have a time ban. worth it? caus eyou don’t lose a casual playlist match?

Because they suck

also we would have won that game but they left anyway.

Just because someone quits as the enemy caps the center doesn’t mean that they’re quitting because the enemy capped the center. Same with points, or capping all three bases, or whatever it is you assume is the cause. I’ve made a concerted effort to stop quitting matches with this game, but every once in a while something will happen that is so infuriating that the xbox gets shut off and that’s the end of it. And in my case it never has anything to do with the big picture. I don’t care who’s winning, or what bases they have, or how many points apart we are. It’s part of a personal grudge match between me and nature of Halo. And trust me when I say, the other eleven guys are not gonna miss me because odds are good they thought I was afk to begin with. Seriously - do you really think that a player who wants to quit and doesn’t for your sake, or for the sake of a few req points, is really going to be a particularly valuable team mate?

This. I’ve quit a warzone match or two. If a team is severely outmatched and cannot win quitting is fine. Quitting cuz you lost the middle base? Not so much.

I don’t quit game’s, sometimes my internet loses connection from them.

Ignore Time, Effort, Cost already sunk into something, such as a match, when deciding whether or not to continue on with it.

When only viewing the remaining portion of a match, is it worthwhile staying? Will it be wasted time? Could that time be better spent elsewhere?

How can you best allocate your remaining resources (time, effort, potential for fun)?

EDIT: Fun

I’m assuming you’re talking about your recent match on Stormbreak? It’s easy to get a early lead by stealing Lochagos. That being said, if they still manage to 3 cap you after that, you’re pretty much -Yoinked!-. That map is pretty raw for base spawn killing.

They’re the people that only care about winning. But then again, with all the stress on k/d stuff and win/loss ratio on some competitive people make them only care about their performance.

Atleast you can gain teammates in social games. I get quitters in Arena all the time and when they are gone they are gone.
