“Flag Taken, Flag Dropped repeating”, is not a good argument. They tuned down his voice in Halo Reach, but in Halo 4 he talks 10x as much during a flag game! Now in addition to announcing when it’s dropped and picked up, he announces when you have to protect it, when you’re carrying it, when you kill somebody carrying it, when you assist somebody scoring it, etc.
He. Wont. Shut. Up.
So no, “it was annoying” is not a legitimate reason for Flag Juggling being removed. He’s even more annoying now, and this time the flag is auto pick up and it cannot be dropped because of the juggling complaints. Let’s not soon forget the waypoint on the flag carrier at all times.
So please, enlighten me. Would we rather have the guy say “Flag Taken, Flag Dropped” a few dozen times, or would you rather have him announce every single thing you do in addition to not being able to drop it and being forced to use a magnum so long as you’re the flag carrier?

I’ll take the second option. I prefer a plethora of various announcements rather than a broken record.
Youre probably an MLG wannabe, so my arguement to you is. When was juggling shafts a competetive feature? the only people complaining are the MLG kids who want to do that so much. I play MLG and the fundamentals of winning CTF does not boil down to juggling the flag. it boils down to team work, map control, slay dominance. NOT JUGGLING A FLAG. It has nothing to do with competetive play nor will it ruin the flow of the game or anything else my fellow competitors wanna argue at me with. Jeez

No, but you should still be able to drop the flag if you want to… It shouldn’t be forced on you. The same as, if you run over an assault rifle you should not be forced to pick it up. It’s just stupid and there’s no reason for it to be there.
I mean, why can we not drop the flag? WHY?
If I wanna drop the flag, then I should be able to…
Well how I lookat it Halo 4 will execute what reach failed to…making it a team based arena shooter. 343 seems to be provoking the idea of people going into playlsts with their buddies as a team. Meaning, there will always be that guy with the role of getting the flag, while everyone else does the driving, killing, sneaking, etc…
Now I understand, and while im still on the fence about this whole idea, that you wont always be able to keep the flag guy alive, and the guy with rockets or snipes with be forced to pick it up at some point. Thats just where the rest of your team may fill the void. Think about it this keeps CTF game more close, while still having the more skilled players being the winners when it obviously intended.

You don’t see the problem don’t you?
If you have a rocker launcher or some other power weapon and then pick up the flag, and you are on your way to your base to score. You might meet enemies on your way right? Now if this was Halo Reach, you would be able to drop the flag and kill those enemies with your rocket launcher and immediately be able to pick up the flag again and continue your journey to your base. If it’s Halo 4, you take the flag. Run as fast as hell to your base because you can’t friggin’ kill people with a useless magnum and a flag in your hand… And you die and loose both the flag and your rocket launcher.
Not being able to drop the flag is just making problems instead of fixing.
Don’t fix what isn’t broken…
Edit: “team based arena shooter.” Halo isn’t an arena shooter anymore, it’s a class based shooter…

you dont see my point at all. Usually CTF consists of the entire team killing the opposing…making a push, control the dominant areas, do another slay on the team, make the flag push, kill, ESCORT your flag carrier to safety.
my point is, youre going to depend a hell of a lot more on your full team.
You probably didnt read my first rebuttle because that might be why you made the only arguement brought up thus far in the whole “Pro-flag drop” arguement.
Also, you can’t deem Halo as a class based shooter until its the combination of classes that will determine the outcome of most victorys/losses.
i.e. Jauggernaut vs a ninja in a head to head COD firefight. Because of the Jauggernaut able to take more shots…his CLASS won the battle…Not the case in Halo 4
