Can we have legendary XP packs back, I know we can buy them in the xbox game store with real money, but can we have them back in the game so we can buy them with in game points instead. I and I’m sure many others have many points racked up just waiting for these to return.

Would you like them to just hand you 152 as well?? Legendary boost packs are rotational, just like everything else. And yes, while others might be wanting to purchase using their req points, 343 isn’t going to make them permanent nor will they bring them back just because some people want an easier time getting to 152. The xp grind is hard for a reason… I don’t foresee them coming back until we get some news on Infinite and they choose to do something for us. I’m not sure where they’re at in the req rotation… we just got them in December for the holidays… I don’t expect to see them again until at least July… You do stand a good chance of getting legendary xp boosts just by opening req packs… not to mention all the other boosts you can get from gold packs as well. While I do have a fair amount of RP built up if they ever do bring them back… I do also spend my fair share on gold packs and have more xp boosts than I know what to do with. I recommend just playing, and making sure you put a boost on (any boost’ll do)… and just keep playing… I still haven’t touched the legendary boosts I bought in December… so just keep playing and you’ll be fine.

First of all you can buy those legendary boost in the req store, so if you wanted you could just buy you’re way to 152. Second legendary boost don’t give all that much more xp, most one will do is let you play one less game. Third I and many others don’t have the time to play all day everyday so we play when we can and boost can help, especially for those looking to reach 152 before infinite, so why not allow us to at least buy them with the in game currency. Finally, I only play area since I don’t like warzone so since I use xp boost every game I tend to run out fairly quickly and I could buy gold packs, but then I would get tons of items for warzone I will never use.

I recommend using microsoft rewards. By sparing up points you will be able to trade it for a 5$ gift card to buy a legendary xp pack.
Arena legendary pack

Warzone pack

If you dont have legendary boosts i recommend mythic wzff. Only use jackpot xp boosts.
You will get xp at a decent rate.
You dont really need legendary boosts, you just need to spend a ridiculous amount of time in firefight.

Still want it handed it to you. Buying the pack with real currency is a barrier to access most people aren’t willing to cross just for an in game rank with some rewards in a new game. You can still play when you can, I’m not saying you have to play all day everyday. But you getting to 152 isn’t 343’s or anyone else’s issue. You want to get there, you have to put the time and work in like everyone else. And once again, strictly playing arena is a personal choice that you think 343 owes you for. I do however agree with you the the payout of boosts is discriminatory toward arena boosts, meaning it’s about 3:1… for every three warzone boosts you get, you’ll get one arena boost. That’s something they could actually fix and would solve a lot of problems. The clever thing with all those items you’ll get from gold packs that you won’t use, is that you can turn around and sell those to get more RP back… that you can spend on more packs, and get more boosts. Still definitely sounds like you want 343 to hand you 152… and I’m not really sure why. The reward in H5 for 152 isn’t all that good. And while I do approve of the 152 rewards in Infinite… I’m not really sure if they’re worth changing the req system and handing out boost packs just so people can finish. Everyone has had almost 6 years to get to 152… and everyone’s story is different as to why they haven’t made it yet. But it’s supposed to be a journey… Not something that should be handed to people that don’t want to put the time and effort in.

I don’t see the point of reaching 152 anymore. Seeing how 343 has handled exclusive challenges in the past, I would say they will hand out the reward to everyone at a later point,

Some people get oddly defensive of the 152 rank. As someone who has played and grinded since launch, that sort of attitude is childish. At this point in the games life, it is absolutely embarrassing that they still have XP boosts locked behind a paywall. I’m only 6 million from being done, but I wholeheartedly agree that those people willing to spend the req points (which need to be earned in game still) should be allowed to buy any packs they want.
Maybe I just want things handed to me though.

I would never spend money on XP, but I’ve had this game since launch and spent more time playing this game then probably any other game I have ever played before and I’m still only at level 149. I honestly liked this game and don’t care about the reward in infinite, but I kind of want to reach 152 just as a final farewell to halo 5 before infinite releases

I really don’t care about the reward you get in halo 5 or the reward you get in infinite and I don’t point blame at 343 for me only playing area only or making the max rank so high. I’ve been playing since launch and truly liked this game, so the only reason I want to reach 152 is as a final farewell to halo 5 before I move over to infinite. At this point I don’t have the time to spend to reach 152 before infinite and as much as I like halo 5 I’ve been playing this game for over 5 years now I’m pretty tired of it. So the only reason I want to buy some xp boost is to give me a better chance at reach 152 and I won’t buy gold packs since I receive warzone boost more often then not that even when I exchange for in game currency I then lost currency and in the end received nothing. As a note I’m okay with the grind for 152, but I’ve spent more time in this game then I have in any other game I’ve ever played before and I want to reach 152, but if I don’t then I don’t care I’m moving over to infinite. I’m pretty warn out of halo 5 and this max rank is my only excuse to play this game anymore since every game I play is up against sweats or with a team full of noobs. I don’t just don’t want to leave this game on such a unhappy note since I truly had some fun times in this game.

So in looking at your service record and comparing it to mine… you say you’ve been playing since launch, that’s fine… we’ll go with that. Now I know things happen and things come up and we all don’t end up playing as much as we’d like. But… I never picked up H5 multiplayer till July 28th of last year. As of a few minutes ago when I got my arena win, since July when I picked up H5 MP, I’ve racked up 9 more days of gameplay. I’ve managed to do in 10 months more than what you’ve done in 5+ years. I’ve also managed to rack up more matches as well. The ONLY reason I bring this up… is because when I started this journey in July, no one was talking about a Halo Infinite reward… or grinding… or anything else, and at the time, there were 2.9k people who have reached 152 and who knows how many countless that were pretty close. I don’t play as much as I used to thanks to covid restrictions ending and full time employment and what not… but I still average at most maybe 15 hours a week. 2-3 hours a night during the week and 5-7 hours on the weekend (adulting makes it rough to be honest). But I still find a way to average between 100-130k per day, even with no boosts, it’s not that hard, it just requires playing. I feel your pain with the sweats… as someone who started late, I’m pushing to try to finish my comms and I’m running into nothing but sweaty people in most matches and I never understood that argument… I get most (if not all) players are better than me. But I’m only in certain gametypes to finish comms… so I get the frustration (but that’s another topic for another day).
My point to all this… is that I don’t hear anyone taking to the forums to ask 343 to change the legacy games on 360 to make it easier to finish those achievements, comms and ranks, and I would make the argument there’s a better case to be made for doing something with those game than with H5. But all I see in the forums is people pushing for permanent 2x xp (I’ve seen it as high 5x in some of the threads) and/or making the legendary boost packs a permanent fixture in the req store. And I do agree with whoever mentioned it earlier, they most likely at some point will be back permanently (probably after Infinite release), we probably won’t see them rotate into the store until July or August (if at all). And the logic behind is always the same… “Make the grind easier”, “I want to get the reward in Infinite”… and it’s almost always the players who came to the game late (like me) who want what others have. I’m sorry, but 343 made it tough for a reason, and lowering the bar after you’ve set to appease the loudest voices in the room, is a slap in the face who have been life long halo fans, and it’s also a slap in the face to the now over 3.7k who have already hit 152. Those who have hit 152 didn’t have double xp playlists every weekend for the longest time. They didn’t have an anniversary month of double xp, or a holiday month of double xp. They played the matches… they got their xp, and they repeated that process until they reached the top of the mountain. That trophy (finishing 50m xp not the rewards) gets a little tarnished once you start seeing how others attained (permanent leg. boosts and 2x xp and the like). Regardless of the (actual) rewards (and that’s a hot topic for another thread)… it comes down to earning what you want. And if we both earn the same reward, but you took a short cut to get it… my reward looks a little less worthwhile… that’s all I’m saying…
Is it eventually going to happen? Probably… I just hope it doesn’t happen till after Infinite comes out. Only time will tell…
Let’s suppose the XP requirement for 152 was cut in half, basically making 150 max rank. There would be people who would be sitting at 147 or 148 saying the XP requirement should be reduced because they have played the game so much. I get what you’re saying, but a proper farewell to H5 means reaching 152 the way everyone else did. Otherwise, it’s a pretty hollow victory and not a worthwhile farewell.

I don’t see 152 as victoy but rather a sad farewell to the last remnant of my childhood I have. Once the 360 halo’s go down later this year halo 5 will be the last game that matters to me from my high school years. I don’t need to reach 152 to get a proper farewell the only reason I was going for it was in hopes if I had a achievement to reach I would have fun again, but it’s even more frustrating since I don’t have to time to improve and every game I join is full of sweats or bad teammates. I’m at a impass, I don’t want to leave halo 5 because it’s going to be the last game I can play online that helped me though high school and I played with friends, but I’m the last one left online and I don’t want to let it go, but I’m just not have fun and I would hate to think back on this game so negatively since it affected my life so much. I don’t care that 343 made it so hard to reach max I just wanted some XP boost to make my goal more attainable, but at this point I think its best if I just gave up on my 152 goal

That’s both a slippery slope fallacy and a straw man in the same example. Nobody is asking for them to drop the XP requirement here, and saying making one small concession will lead to more isn’t based on any evidence.
All that OP wants is something useful to spend their req points on. I’m on the same boat, with millions of req points and nothing to use them on.

Making the XP packs a common item in the store indirectly reduces the XP requirement. If they did not, then no one would use the boosts and there would be no reason to ask for XP boosts to begin with.
343i set a requirement for 152. Whether or not it should be lower/higher is not really the point. Reaching max rank has no effect on anything other than pride. Making it easier to hit 152 only makes that pride carry no weight.

I’m okay with not reaching max rank I just needed a reason to play since I don’t have fun anymore and trust me if you play a game that only gets more competitive over time and you’ve been playing for over five years then it becomes a chore to play. I used to play daily years ago but as I and everyone else, we all take on more responsibilities and we don’t have time to play. I barely find time duing the week, but I still play for some reason and I rarely have fun. I’ve never been one who can play a game for longer than a few hours a day so even though I’ve been playing for over five years I just don’t think it’s mentally or physically healthy for me to sit for four or more hours getting sweating and upset at a game. I applaud those who made 152 before 343 announed a gift since they only thought they were receiving a emblem, but I was never after the emblem or the gift in infinite I just wanted a excuse to keep playing, but all my friends have either been off for years or just don’t play games like halo anymore since the last thing you want to do after working all day is get owned in a video game. I think I’m just gonna stop reaching for 152 and instead just go for 150 before infinite releases.

No one is asking for 343 to lower the xp requirement the way I see it is that many are still trying to reach max rank and that actually helps halo 5 to keep a common player base which helps to find games and if someone really wanted to reach max rank slightly faster they could just pruchase the xp packs at the Microsoft store with really money. Though I’m sure many still play halo 5 because they enjoy and don’t need the pride from a slightly higher number or a grey skin in infinite.
