So we know the Prophet’s Bane is a legendary weapon for the map Truth, but what ideas for other legendary weapons do people have? I’ve come up with a few, but they are all covenant-based! What would a human/forerunner legendary weapon be?
The Fist of Rukt would be an amazing add as a legendary weapon, but instead of the increased speed/lunge of the Prophet’s Bane, it would give an Overshield and the ability to “pull” an enemy spartan towards you, like Tartarus uses it to grab Guilty Spark/Miranda!
Maybe another could be the Energy Cutlass? A blade made of Needler crystal (Blamite!) that could somehow involve being able to snap the blade off in an enemy which would then explode like a supercombine? Maybe it acts as a normal energy sword where you usually only need one slash, but instead it stabs them with the crystal which breaks off and then stays in them without killing them for a few seconds before exploding into shards allowing for possible multikills?
And finally, just maybe, possibly, a Jackal shield? Giving extra shielding from the front on top of your energy shields but also the ability to shield bash?
As they are pretty good ideas what I liked Fist The Fist of Rukt.
And just as an idea so look for a human legendary weapon would be the addition of the “machete” link in the shields of difficulties. This could be used as a choice between killing with combat knife or “machete” or it may be as a main weapon.

The machete has been destined to be in Halo for a loooooong time
Alot of these seem to be melee-based, which makes me think of possible Forerunner melee weapons.
Maybe not the hardlight sword the Prometheans have but a sort of hardlight chainsaw?
Captain’sSidearm - in honor of the first weapon the player was ever given in a Halo game, Captain Keyes’ M6D. Would look similar to the pistol from the beta, except in hard chrome finish with higher damage, old-style zoom function (no ADS), and fully automatic of course.

Going with the theme that the legendary weapons give you a power boost of sorts, perhaps this would have damage boost? Takes half as many shots to kill than the normal pistol?

Man-portable composer sounds very interesting. Shoots like the Sentinel beam, and if you kill 2-3 players with it, out comes a Promethean Knight that fights for you. Naturally it won’t be very dangerous, but a very interesting distraction that can reveal an enemy player’s location when it runs to them to attack. In campaign, this could make for an awesome mission like the antlion on in Half-Life 2
Speaking of, can we have some Promethean-architecture multiplayer maps? Maybe far in the background of one you can see Knights, etc. trying to climb up and attack (obviously just background effects that are far out of the way and won’t distract players)

So some of my ideas could still work? Energy Cutlass = Energy Sword, Fist of Rukt = Gravity Hammer
Machete/Falcata: UNSC melee weapon. Made of metal and high-density ceramic with a heated edge hot enough to cut through armor. Swings much faster than the energy sword, but takes three hits to kill and has little lunge range but swings in a wide arc. Pressing smart scope/zoom will overheat the weapon for increased damage, and pressing RT it when it heats up to the “sweet spot” causes maximum damage for one hit kill, but go over the sweet spot and it overheats and loses charge.
The Ladykiller: A high caliber anti-air turret retrofitted for man-portable use by Spartans, who can lift it. Can penetrate through enemies like a sniper. Low ammo.

How about:
Riflemans Honour - A throwback to CE, and the second weapon given to the player, its the MA5B, with its 60 rnd magazine. Would look like the Halo Wars version, and use the CE reload animation (I just really liked that one). Same damage as the regular AR. Maybe throw in iron sights for the hell of it? People probably wouldnt like that now that I think about it, but its something to think about.
What about an ancient human weapon for a legendary weapon?!
Something like a lightning gun or something! Like a precision/sniper gun but with a splash effect when it hits a target?!

Guardians, Ghost, Hunter, Spike grenade. I think it’s a little late to worry about using the same words for things.
Anyways how about a raging Monitor that we can carry around and fire it’s laser? It’d be cool if you could hear the Monitor say crazy things while you’re carrying it around.
