LEGENDARY warning

I thought I would run through Legendary on CEA, I mean I’ve got experience in all things Halo, so “I got this.”

Nah, I’m getting beat down by Elites like I slapped their Mamma!

Seems like I did not remember how agressive they were. Also the way they move is unpredictable until they get mad and charge.

I can’t figure out why this legendary seems harder than the other games in some ways. IMO

Anyway just remember when you play it, they call it Legendary for a reason.

this is how every other halo campaign should have been

See here. It’s because they are simple.

Evasive maneuvers and grenade throwing are based on chance and/or the amount of damage they receive (not to mention if they are being fired at).

Taking cover, berserking, charging, meleeing, leaping, etc. is based on shields/health and/or proximity (to enemy).

i don’t get it. i find this campaign to be the easiest Halo on legendary by far. you can basically just spam the plasma pistol until you get to the flood. then the AR and shotgun are your best bet.

Puts a lot of modern AI to shame, still amazed at how much we’ve regressed since Halo CE. But that’s become the way, they need to make game so easy that even on the hardest mode, your casual gamer can beat it. Halo CE, and a lot of older games were brutal. Hell Dark Souls is easy compared to the -Yoink- kicking Halo CEA has given me in places.

Indeed. I even find the Elites growls scarier, more than that the other Halo games.

Fantastic LONG article. Good stuff. Thanks!

Entire game on legendary can be destroyed by the plasma pistol. Flood or Cov, shotgun/magnum and a plasma pistol and the game plays itself.

Really? Did you die once? Did you die twice? How many times did they kill you? “Were it so easy”

It’s not that bad. I’m up to Keyes. Almost finished.

Did I say I never died while playing through the campaign on legendary? No, I did not. All I stated was my opinion that this is the easiest campaign in the Halo series. If you disagree, that it fine, but i would suggest you go and play Halo 2 on legendary again. Then let me know which game is more frustrating. Nevermind the fact that i was simply trying to help you by explaining how i got through my legendary playthrough. nice attitude.

the easiest halo was ODST. health packs were everywhere. infact it was the first game i completed mythic on.

the hardest had to be halo 1. simple yet annoying AI plus the flood. reach is second hardest. 3 was hard-ish halo 2 wasnt that bad. the only big deal was the snipers that could 1 shot you in the foot. but they never change spawns. so if you remember where they spawn halo 2 is a cake walk.

CE is crazy difficult on legendary.

From the most difficult to the less difficult

Halo 2
Halo CE
(Halo Wars)
Halo Reach
Halo 3
Halo 3 ODST

Halo 2 was just crazy, it’s not that an elite can kill you with 6 shot from a plasma rifle, it’s the jackals, the snipers

> Let us not forget Elite’s fists doing more damage than a sword on Heroic, Tanks not being able to kill Elites with one, sometimes two hits, Flood shotgun snipers (which Emile may have been trying to emulate in all of Reach’s campaign) and all of the damage ratios being heavily weighted against you.

“Flood shotgun snipers (which Emile may have been trying to emulate in all of Reach’s campaign)”

LOOOOOOOL

You know, a lot of video games nowadays are meant to be beaten, it’s like playing a movie, and the developer designs it so that the casual gamer can beat it. I think that Halo, especially CE(A) is one of the last of it’s kind. When you beat it you feel accomplished because it challenged you. In other words, this game is not afraid to kick your -Yoink-.
