just asking for tips on finishing Reach on legendary,
note ive finished halo 3 and halo ce on legendary so im not that nooby
but im just wondering if reach campaign on legendary is harder than those two.

I wouldn’t say harder, but annoying. It’s like (for me) playing the Halo 3 mission, Cortana. No one wants to play it, but it has to be done.

I still haven’t done Halo 3 on Legendary because of the mission ‘Cortana’.
All I can say is always keep a plasma pistol on you, every Elite is like a damn mini-boss fight. If you can avoid a fight, do it.
Best tip ever: Run. Don’t try to fight anything. That will get you killed.

In my experience it doesn’t really matter if you die during a mission. In CE or CEA I intentionally kill myself to redo certain sections of a given level because it is so much fun. There are only a few incentives for not dying in reach, the flawless cowboy for one, and feeling great about not dying for an entire level as another. As far as reach goes, I can’t go deathless on pillar of autumn even on heroic. Since I don’t play it on anything below heroic I don’t know if I would stay alive on normal and I refuse to do the campaign on easy so… The only things that kill me usually in the campaign are stickies and FRGs. Tips though.
Only go up close to big foes if you can bring them down quickly, like with a shotgun, hammer, or sword. It’s easier to pop shields with plasma than bullets so remember that with brutes and elites. Don’t underestimate grunts, even if an elite or brute doesn’t die near them they can and will go berserk if fellow grunts are killed. Always be alert. When you have to play with the rest of noble team remember their AI’s are terrible, they often shrugg plasma grenades off them onto you. And a good tactic I have found is in any mission or area where you have marine allies, if you find a power weapon, if you give it to them they have unlimited ammo, sometimes actually increasing the ammo of the weapon after you give it to them - happened when I gave a spartan laser to a marine on POA and it had 1 charge left, when I took it back it had 75%! Works great if they’re riding shotgun with a rocket launcher.

Honestly, for someone just looking to beat the Campaign on Legendary once, Tyrants guides are better and his tactics are easier to replicate. Speed runs are meant to be fast, not reliable. I would suggest going to mythictyrant.com, and look at his LASO Guide (it’s more recent than his Legendary Guide, and he does some things in it that he didn’t know about when doing the Legendary one).
I’ve watched them all, and he does things I didn’t know were possible before, and now I use them whenever I do anything on Campaign (from Easy to LASO). Hope this helps.
In Legendary Reach, my best and only advice is Noob Combo. It works like a charm.
