I can see that 343i wanted to keep the aspects of Halo 4 within its own game but whenever I play Legendary Slayer, right off the bat it’s completely the opposite. No map
pickups besides ordnances, where are the weapons on the map?
Besides Legendary Slayer isn’t BR starts, it’s AR starts. BR starts are for that “pro” variant alone so after all this thus far, IMO, Legendary Slayer isn’t what it’s suppose to be. I honestly give 343 the props for bringing it in but please at least make it right.
Have you tried the anniversary game types?
I personally like the BR starts. If I understand what you are saying correctly, I agree with you on the ordnance drops. Get rid of them and just place the weapons on the map.
I know they are just making it as casual friendly as possible because it sits along side its Infinity Slayer counterparts in the voting options.
I loved learning the weapon timers on the maps instead of everyone getting an icon above the power weapon on their HUD. It was just one more thing that gave you an edge against your competition if they didn’t take little bit of time learn this. I am so out of practice of watching the clock now because of those indicators. I hope to get back into it before the Master Chief Collection drops.
> Besides Legendary Slayer isn’t BR starts, it’s AR starts.
The full name of the gametype in matchmaking is “Legendary Slayer BRs,” hence the BR starting weapon.

I don’t know if you know this, but the Ordnance in Legendary Slayer BRs spawns the same weapon at the same place at the same interval every time. There is no randomness in the Ordnance. The only difference between LSBR’s Ordnance and map pickups is the ordnance pod and the waypoint.
I’m pretty sure the reason they kept the waypoint was to maintain consistency between gametypes. The original Legendary Slayer (AR-starts) playlist from last summer had no Ordnance but map pickups instead, and it was pretty jarring.
