My friend and I have been playing Legendary Slayer for about two hours now, it’s a great game mode, it reminds me of the older Halo days but one thing that gets to us. The grenade spam, that seems to be the only thing people know how to do, I can’t really blame them with Explosives as the Support Upgrade. I just think that Explosives should be taken off and replaced with something else, it reminds me of the Reach Beta Mini-Nukes. That is my take on Legendary Slayer. Anyone else got a say about it?
Strong grenades are halo. They need to stop nerfing them.

Explosives actually reduces the damage you take.
IMO, the main problem is the long shield recharge length. If you get hit with a random, blindly-tossed grenade, you basically have to sit on your hands for about 7-8 seconds before entering the fray again. Halo 2 and 3 both had 6 seconds to recover from no shields to full shields.

This. It’s just that the grenades have a bigger blast radius with the ‘Explosives’ armor mod equipped.
If Explosives were to go, I would like to see either ‘Shielding’ or ‘Recharge’ make it’s way into the gametypes/playlist.

I would like to see Recharge being used instead I just feel that Explosives is the main cause for people to spam Nades.

Agreed. Pretty much most of my deaths are from grenade kills!
I’m not used to frequently playing against enemies with Explosives on.

I have been playing Halo since Halo:CE came out, the only time it’s been to the point of me seeing about eight grenade indicators at once was the Reach Beta, still I do love Legendary Slayer!

I used to get blown to bits in Halo: CE with my friends at LAN parties, in Halo 2 during online play, especially on smaller maps. (especially foundation) Halo 3 was no different, grenades a-plenty. Especially since there were four types of them, Reach had the giant pineapple grenades that were flung everywhere. I can’t think of a Halo game aside from ODST that hasn’t suffered from the grenade lobbing newb.
Better than Slayer Pro, which doesn’t have the motion sensor.

Melee on the other hand, needs a nerf.
You can’t force Recharge on player traits, nor should 343 have to; there is already a setting that can be modified without replacing a perk.
The reason grenades are used so much is because they’re more reliable at range than the AR.
Explosives reduces the damage you take from grenades by a lot so that isn’t the problem. The problem is Resupply, because of it players always have grenades.

Recharge should be forced in the Campaign (as unlikely as that’d be). That’d make my day so much. It’d be the equivalent of adding in Theater support for Campaign, a heavenly change.
Grenade spam follows me in every gametype I play be it BTB, CTF, LEGENDARY and even Infinity slayer. I am used to it by now but it is more common in Legendary ill admit that. Just be more cautious when going around a corner
