Legendary slayer brings me back to the great halo 3 days. By far my favorite playlist!
I’m in love with it myself.
+1
I love it, although Team Throwdown has a 1-50 point scoring system already, its nice to go back to the old days with this new playlist that isn’t considered the Pro playlist of Halo 4.

That’s cool! I’m happy that 343i has done much to provide enjoyment for everyone.
I note that Legendary Slayer, despite all the fan fare and references to Halo 3 etc, sits at 11th spot on the play list rankings and continues to slide south.
On the other hand, BTIS and IS still rein supreme at number one and two spots, as they have done so since launch day. Infinity wins hands down as the current Halo players choice no matter what many ask 343i to implement from the old days.

Yes Wolfblade but there are quite a few of us still playing who started back in Halo 2 and 3 who are quite happy that this playlist is here finally though.
Enough to warrant the addition of this playlist that’s for sure. I personally haven’t been playing Infinity Slayer since it came out.
love LS! it took way too long, and it’s not perfect (gettings close) but finally a good playlist with nice settings!! a question…i find myself playing haven/ shutout a lot and want to play on more maps. is it worth buying the majestic map pack? do they come up much?

Been coming up a lot for me. Skyline has been voted for all the time though. Everyone fights over the beam rifle.
thanks for the fast reply! sounds good, getting me some MS points, hopefully i will be as lucky also
I loves me some Legendary Slayer. I think I like it more than I did the MLG playlist in Reach (not that I’m MLG materiel, I just liked the settings.)
Best playlist hands down
Not perfect but defiantly the best
To retort to wolfblade
It should be reasonable to assume that those numbers reflect the fact that all the people who would have enjoyed legendary slayer over IS are part of the some 90% of the people who left the game
-
Needs Magnums at spawn to combat precision rifles and power weapons. Shutout in particular is frustrating.
-
Some of the power weapons need a spare ammo reduction.
-
I’d like it if Resupply was taken away to cut down on nade spamming.
Majestic is the only map pack even WORTH buying at this point. Please get it. A lot of us are tired of playing the same 5 maps over and over again (Haven, Adrift, Shutout, Abandon, and Solace).
Thats because the classic halo fans all left. This population is 10% old Halo fans, 90% new Halo fans. And what do you think the newbies are gonna go for? It all makes sense.
If halo 5 launches without armor abilities, mods, ordinance, or loadout and sticks with true Halo, newbies won’t care. they’d play the hottest playlist there is.

Well that’s opposite to what I’ve read before on this forum. Before there were claims that “true” Halo fans are the most dedicated and ones who will make Halo franchise survive. I think we can speak openly that Legendary playlist will lose it’s population to the level of Team Throwdown, just like Slayer Pro playlist was losing it’s population faster than Infinity playlists. There are much less “true” fans than they believe there are.
As of just “old” fans, my first Halo game was Halo CE for PC 10 years ago and I like Infinity Slayer settings the most. If I want to play something more classic, I’m choosing Halo 3 or even Anniversary (never been much fan of Reach though…), but here, I’m prefer to have Halo 4’s full package instead of some castrated settings which are suppose to play on my nostalgic feelings.
got it and i’m glad i did, immediately showed up! nice maps!

Legendary Slayer was not advertised well, it was announced a long time ago meaning many forgot about it and when it was released it was put under the Global Championship in levels of importance.
-
Many Halo players have left Halo 4, all the players that are left are mostly people who would play Infinity slayer.
-
Legendary Slayer currently has alot of flaws which turn even players who enjoy the “classic” Halo game-play away.
OT: It’s a great playlist, but its massive problems turn alot of people away, leading to a low population and in my experience, a higher chance of lag.

Is this the twilight zone…Did someone just praise Majestic map pack…

What’s wrong with Majestic? Skyline, Landfall, and Monolith are all decent maps.

Ahh I was thinking Crimson. Wrong map pack :x
Not a fan of this playlist. The only thing it’s bringing me back to are the horrible Halo 3 AR starts.
Turn off sprint, at least give me a secondary magnum, and how about turning down the flipping ammo count for power weapons and grenades, jeez.
