Halo 5 Guardians added legendary weapons, so I had an idea. What if there was a legendary magnum, like the Halo: CE Magnum. To balance it out, maybe it could be a revolver that has 6 shots per mag, and reloads slowly. It could be like the classic where it’s a 3 shot kill.
What are your opinions?
Would people be happy with it being a revolver, though?

the fagnum was BS in halo CE and it would be BS in halo 5.
Since I love the Halo CE pistol, I think this would be a good idea, but ditch the revolver. Just the normal CE pistol, in Halo 5.

Sure, but for the love of God, it has to be nerfed from its previous incarnation. Either ROF or bloom has to change, just so it’s not an absolute monster.

Why does it have to be nerfed? Wouldn’t it be considered a power weapon? Light rifle is a 3 shot scoped, rockets, sniper and sword are all 1 hits, hydra is 2. The CE magnum is 3.
Bring it back, but only as a power weapon.

I love this idea so much! Great for customs or just a fun rotational playlist where everyone starts with the CE pistol. H5 takes a lot of influence from H1 so I don’t see this as something impossible

The prophet’s bane wasn’t tremedously overpowered compared to a normal Energy sword. I think a CE Magnun is too much, it’s a completely different weapon (Rof, Dmg, etc). Maybe better zoom and accuracy w/ an extended mag.

I don’t think it would be a power weapon on normal maps. I think if anything it’d be a weapon for custom games, and it could be a rotational H1 settings playlist which would be pretty sick. Options for Forge and stuff are great to have even if it isn’t in the core game (Golf club, golden banshee, soccer ball, flood sword, etc)
Holy shitalking mushrooms! The halo ce magnum as a power weapon would be great! No nerfing needed for that little beast, the halo franchise has tried to bring it back in every game but had to downgrade it due to constant matchmaking balancing issues, increase the ROF you have to reduce the DMG, increase the mag size you have to reduce the DMG & ROF,
plain and simple, keep it the way it is
