For me Ive always played campaign on legendary my first time. Yes its hard, but once you beat it the feeling is great! Is anyone else taking the challenge?
Solo Legendary, the cutscenes feel way better after you’ve fought you way to next scene. Plus, I’m so multiplayer oriented that if I don’t play the legendary through on first playthrough, odds are I’m not going to do it at all.
I Did it for Reach and it was hard! I’ll maybe start heroic and experiment then jump over to legendary as I like to get as many achievements in one run as I can despite numerous deaths. Thing is I don’t know what it is but halo doesn’t frustrate me with the crazy deaths and impossible situations you can put yourself in,(I remember one time i triggered a spawn checkpoint and always met grenades as soon as I spawned) as say most other games do for me.
I can’t look around at flowers, water, and skybubbles on legendary so no.

I’m going Heroic because I wouldn’t enjoy it as much if I did it on legendary… I would rage hard, that is a Men’s Warehouse guarantee.

Seriously though I would rather do it on normal or heroic first to get a feel for it.

Sometimes Co-op but i prefer solo…
i hate playing legendary. 90% of it is hiding and waiting for shields to recharge because the enemies do an absurd amount of damage. i like to play through the campaign first on normal and just enjoy it all without waiting all the time or dying like crazy.

There is no other way for me to take the enemies as a threat to the universe unless I play it on Legendary.
My friend and I shall play through Legendary together on our first try.
Sorry, I want to enjoy the Campaign in my first playthrough. Not want to kill myself.
Yeah, I can see my first Campaign playthrough, on Legendary, for over 12.5 hours… I think I’ll pass.
I usually do my first playthrough alone on heroic and then as soon as I’m finished start a co-op campaign with some friends on legendary.
May try it on legendary this time though, Reach was fairly easy on solo Legendary. Although, Reach felt a lot easier than the past Halo games to me.
Im tempted. But I know that H4’s campaign is going to have a lot of quick time events and scenes that get you really pumped up.
It’ll ruin the feeling if you just keep dying, however 
Heroic so that I can enjoy the game at a constant pace but it will still feel difficult.
for me, first playthru is solely for the story. Its like reading a book. I dont want to die and have to “reread” part of the story. It ruins the flow. how would you like to read a book and be forced to rewind 2 pages every now and then. Normal it is for me.
I always played through the game on normal first so I know what happens. After that I play multiplayer for a few days. Soon after I turn around and play it on legendary. That’s how I role…

LOL - who cares about the storyline. I really have no clue about the storyline of halo. I always just get the game, put in on legendary and play through as fast as I can - which includes skipping every cutscene…The faster I get through it the sooner I can enter matchmaking and start earning exp.
