So I just finished it in a day and watched that legendary ending…
- Please hurry up… I want Halo 6… NOW…
It’s assumed to be Cortana, not confirmed, it makes sense that she’d use Halo to wipe out the galaxy… I’m assuming it could potentially be another oracle #Hunttheplot
I made it rain seeing that ‘hula hoop’ slowly rotating on my screen, with some mysterious individual humming away in the background, so worth the legendary.
It wasn’t 343 Guilty Spark humming, it was Cortana.
What’s a “legendary” ending?

When you complete the campaign on legendary there is a little clip at the end of the credits - basically giving you a little clue as to whats to come in halo 6

Most Halo games have an additional cutscene at the end if they complete it in Legendary. These are called Legendary Endings.
For example, completing Halo CE in Legendary will allow you to see a cutscene where Johnson is fighting an Elite Zealot right until the Autumn explodes. Acting knowing that they’ll die, they hug each other and Johnson specifically also touches the Elite’s butt. This legendary ending is not canon.
In Halo 3, you will see, after the credits, the rear half of the Forward Unto Dawn drifting into Requiem.
In Halo 3 ODST, you will see, after the credits, the Prophet of Truth uncovering the Ark under Mombasa alongside some Engineers.
In Halo Wars, after the credits, you will hear Serina waking up the Captain after “something” happening.
In Halo 4, after the credits, when John is having his armor removed, you will be able to see his eyes right before cutting into black.
In Halo 5, Cortana can be heard humming as a Halo (it may be Installation 07 if we are to consider Halo CEA’s design as canon) comes into view.
