Spoilers: If you haven’t beaten the campaign on legendary, I suggest you don’t read this.
I didn’t see a thread about this on the first 3 pages, so I thought I’d make it.
I think Halo 4 is great, but I’m pretty disappointed in the legendary ending. After all that, all the legendary ending is them briefly showing us Chief’s eyes. I didn’t want to see his face, so I’m glad it was only his eyes (and briefly at that), but I was hoping for another cutscene or something.
Is the coop legendary ending different than the solo ending? Because I didn’t get to see his eyes in coop.

The Halo 4 section of forums is utterly useless for posting topics, you probably have about 30 people posting stuff at any given time…

Well, I don’t know, at the end, I really wanted to see his eyes, but was surprised we didn’t. But I’m currently working on solo legendary, it’s taking a lot longer solo than coop…
After having just finished solo legendary all I can say is this:-
in the solo legendary ending you do see Chief’s eyes briefly, though I haven’t do co-op legendary
I was an amazing ending, don’t get me wrong, but all I get for that hard work were his eyes? I mean I never really wanted to see what John looks like. It ruins the illusion that I am the Chief. But to each their own.

Yup. The ending was beyond awesome. 343 did a very good job at it. And I found the Legendary Ending very good as well. Chief is know as the “faceless hero”, so showing his eyes keeps that essence alive. Btw, we already saw his face as a child too.
You do not get a Legendary Ending in co-op. You only get it after beating the game on Solo Legendary.
I think it still should been the legendary ending when you see his armor getting taken off.
I have finished it Solo and Coop and the Solo ending you do see his eyes, in the Coop ending you don’t see his eyes (for some reason)
I liked the legendary ending in halo 4. It still puts the fan’s imagination at work. But in the future halos, if 343i shows his full face I will be extremely disappointed. He is known as the faceless hero. They can’t just ruin something like that.
