i used to think this was a staple of all things Halo, but when i really think about it only 3 of the main games had them and uh that other game
Halo 1 had Johnson and an elite hugging while the pillar went sky high (note, who gropes who changes from the original game from 10 years ago to CEA today)
Halo 2… cant remember, i know Cortana has a date with the Gravemind (they get all chatty and i raged hard for 3 years over the overall ending of that game)
Halo 3 had Captain King and Cortana floating round the 'verse near a big metal planet with a marathon symbol on it (which made me rage for 4 years until they announced Halo 4)
ODST… that was just dumb, Truth waves his hand around and looks at the Ark (saving grace was Buck and the monkeyman egg)
Reach had arguably the best post credits experience in all of gaming history, but did not differ on any difficulty (Captain King easter egg was cool i guess but just compounded my rage for him not being in the game at all, not even a mention)
Halo Wars… yeah. it had a legendary ending. if you count a black screen and two sentences legendary. (raged)
please if i am wrong about Halo 2 remind me, it has been awhile since i played it on legendary
anyway this is a thread for discussing the endings of the games and how we felt about them
Halo 2 didn’t have a legendary ending, the post credits scene plays on all difficulties.
I’m not sure what you mean by Captain King for Halo 3. I’m guessing you’re referring to the Master Chief.
I don’t see why you have a problem with the ODST one. It was to show the Engineers’ discovery and Truth seeing it.
Reach was cool, the gameplay idea was brilliant.
Halo Wars’ ending, while nothing special, isn’t terrible. It was just to leave it open for a sequel but it was done in a way where you didn’t feel like you were missing anything if you beat the game on another difficulty.

> ODST’s Legendary ending was epic.
look i know i didnt pay a full 60 bucks for the game and there wasnt any odst on odst multiplayer, but you cant just wave a hand around for a legendary ending monkeyman or no monkeyman

i worked hard to beat that game on legendary, very hard
