So I completed the campaign on legendary solo nearing a month ago now, I got both the Lone Wolf Legend and The Legend of 117 achievements but its STILL not in my service record…what the hell?
Did you unlock the Master Chief armour from finishing it?

Sorry to break it to you but yeah, you have to be online. So your only choice would be to re-complete those missions 3-8 on legendary online.

I have seen a couple of peoples before complaining about: " wheres my masterchief armour i completed campaign on ledgendary ! " To the best of my knowledge you have to actually be on Online in order to get the armour, but service record no , i dont think so , so its actually wierd…
Screw it I’m not that good of a player and it took me way to long the first time. I don’t get how 343 can break something that worked fine in reach, I mean I never had any issues with my service record back then, online or offline.
If you don’t wish to finish it solo, you could always do it co-op with a few friends. That way you get your legendary completion and your Master Chief armour.

It’s because completeing it on Legendary unlocks armor, not just an achievement. It’s the same thing they did with ODST and the Vidmaster acheivements, it’s too protect the legitimacy of the reward.
Plus, a big aspect of Waypoint is to get people to go Gold, so that they can unlock exclusive stuffz. 
Nothing wrong with a little clever marketing!
Besides, Legendary co-op isn’t nearly as difficult; you don’t have to beat it solo for the armor, and you should still have unlocked that achievement alreadyt, regardless. 
EDIT- What I mean is, it sucks that it doesn’t show online, but you can still unlock the armor (the only thing you’d get aside from achievos) in co-op, if you wanted! :s
