THE CAMPAIGN IS PHENOMENAL!!! But it is not right that you have to do the campaign online just to get the legendary commendation. this is happining to people all over and it needs to be fixed and people need to get the credit they deserve. please fixxx thisss!!!
I found the campaign to be middling in terms of playability and passable in terms of story.

All commendations are tied to online servers. If you could get them offline, what’s to stop people from modding their profile to have all commendations complete. It’s to ensure there are no discrepancies between your profile and the servers. It prevents cheating.
If you completed the levels on legendary but were not connected to the Halo servers at that time you can restart any mission from its last rally point and get the commendation =)
