Just completed Halo:CE - 4 campaign on legendary but the Helioskrill armor didn’t appear unlocked on Halo 5 even after checking the service record. Is it the new update that have erased this?

You have to wait a bit. If you unlocked the achievement, Waypoint needs to sync everything up and you’ll find the REQ pack in your collection in Halo 5. You can force a sync by changing a customization option in MCC. You can change it back after if you want.
