so back in the day halo 3 and reach had nameplates, i am talking about the original games here not the mcc for example halo reach had a dmr the seven column emblem a star and the bungie one, it would be cool to see these old legacy nameplates return while in game they would obviously not be visible in the mcc menu but in game only

This is a cool idea, and I think it would be cool to have these as actual nameplates to earn in the mcc as well. I loved the nameplates from reach

Oh yeah I remember these now. I totally forgot about them! This would be a great addition to the MCC. As above I really liked the Reach ones too.

Those would mean nothing. All of the various nameplates and armor are useless.

Just trying to let the above poster know there’s no reason to feel like he is missing out on anything. Having any nameplate will not affect your or more importantly your opponents’ gameplay - if they have it and you don’t, they will have no advantage.
As I said before, who cares and just let people express how they want their Spartan/Elite to be in the game, that’s the uniqueness of it, you don’t care, good for you, let’s others enjoy it

You’re off-topic, this post is about the various useless nameplates not how a player looks in-game. I was merely letting the OP know that no matter which nameplate they or any of their opponents happen to be using it will not affect their matchmaking experience in any way.

Isn’t this essentially what the insiders nameplate is for? I wonder if 343 can even validate that old status nowadays.

There’s no “fun” in things that do nothing
There is when you grind for your fav thing and then use it. why do you have a problem?
My favorite thing is the grenade launcher. It spawns on certain maps and not on others. No matter what I do I can’t affect it unless I pick it up and then wait til it respawns
Just ignore Dirty Nurse - all they ever do is put people down for liking cosmetic things.
