I’ve been trying to play Legacy Halo 2 on an Xbox 360, and it keeps telling me that a 6 megabyte update is available. When I tell it to update, it appears to download the update, before the screen goes blank. It remains responsive, and I restarted it without incident, but on trying after the reboot it appears that it didn’t install the update, and again prompts me to update it. I can still play Halo 2, but cannot play while signed in to Xbox Live.
Try clearing the cache on your 360. Make sure you read the page thoroughly first though! Load up H2 after that and download the update. That might help things along.
Tried again last night and it updated just fine. Not sure what the problem was. Either way, it’s fixed.
