Legacy Cosmetics: Halo Reach to Halo 5

Which armor sets/cosmetics from past releases would you like to see in Halo Infinite?

Now I know not everyone digs the Halo 4-5 spartan armors, mostly because they look like the love child of Master Chief and Every Warframe in existence. But surely there are a few M&M’s for you in the trail mix.

I want to see the Recruit, Technician armors and the chest dagger.

Helioskrill would also be nice and I liked the Hunter helmet.

Halo 4/5’s Operator, CIO, Commando, Wetwork, Hunter, Recruit, Raider, Shinobi, were all great

Well my favorite (soldier) already got in, but maybe CIO or Stalker would be cool

I’d like to see the OG Mark VI from reach make a comeback since its still unconfirmed among the majority of the reach helmets being present in Infinite.

edit: Also the Mark IV helmet from halo wars as well would be nice.

Spartan Locke’s Helmet looks cool too. Just adjust it a bit for the current art style.

Well first things first, any Gen 2 armors that did return would likely have to be redesigned, not just for art-style reasons but also for gameplay reasons. The Gen 2 armors were far slimmer than the Gen 1 or Gen 3 armors, so their hitboxes would be larger than their actual bodies which means that it is a possibility to get killed even when your model is just behind cover, and if the hitboxes were shrunk then they would be harder to hit. It would probably also be best if they redesigned it with the new art-style in mind, otherwise the armor would look odd and out of place, shattering the immersion for some people. However, if I were to pick a Gen 2 armor that was redesigned it would probably be:

#1) Halo 5 MK IV Set
#2) Halo 4 MK V Set
#3) Halo 5 Hunter Set
#4) Halo 5 MK V Alpha Set (The Helmet needs some MAJOR changes)

I agree. Hitbox and artstyle based adjustments should be implemented if they (devs) do decide to include legacy models.
My only issue is the amount of somewhat redundant models (too many Master Chief helmets/armors with little to no changes in geometry). I’m sure they’ll figure it out.

I hope it all comes back so everyone is happy. One thing I don’t like is armour effects but I think they are back in.

Personally I am looking forward to some new armours, especially the more out there fractured stuff. I really want a Gears of War inspired Spartan.

Mark V armour is always a banger. I like Scout, Security and Hayabusa from Halo 3. Probably going to end up with some giant fishbowl on my head making myself a huge target. I hope they have special armour with Halo content as well like you got Nightfall armour for watching the Nightfall series.

I just love the Recon Gen1 in reach and would absolutely love to see it available in every Halo game where you get to customize your Spartan.

Well in my opinion the MK V has some very different designs, the original CE Armor vs the CE Anniversary Armor vs the Halo 3 Armor vs the Halo Reach Armor vs the Halo 4 Armor vs the Halo 5 Armor all have VERY different designs in my opinion. And since the game is going to be supported for 10 years than there is plenty of time to get them all.
