So I finally had a chance to try out Halo 5 and I’m completely disheartened to see that even after the debacle of legacy controls in the MCC it behaves the same and STILL doesn’t work right. Trying to utilize any diagonal directions on the thumbsticks is a futile endeavor. Trying to aim while strafing is practically an exercise in madness.
Come on 343 for the love of God PLEASE do the right thing and fix this once and for all. It’s not a case of just needing to get used to it and I certainly find it difficult to believe that this is the intended behavior. It is a fundamental flaw in the programming for the controls and it’s at this point it is COMPLETELY ridiculous that this hasn’t been addressed. Those of us who play Halo with legacy controls shouldn’t have to resort to 3rd party adapter workarounds like the Cronusmax just to be able to enjoy the game as intended.
