I was watching the AH flythroughs of the new Anniversary maps and thought to myself, “How awesome would it be just to get out of MP maps or campaign levels and just see what has never been seen?” I think this could be a great addition to Halo 4 because people like to explore, but its never been possible to do it in past Halo games (unless you did a glitch). I remember back in the days of Halo 3 when you could completely leave levels of the campaign, such as Tsavo Highway or Floodgate. I literally had some of the best times in my Halo career doing that. So why not just have an option to just turn of the barriers of maps or campaign levels and just go off and explore? If you turn off the barriers it will disable achievements so you cant just skip an entire level and take credit for “actually” beating it. Do you think this would be cool?
In Halo 2 you could glitch out of a lot of the maps, fun times. The fun part about it was you weren’t supposed to be there and how “glitchy” it looked. If 343i let you leave the boundaries it wouldn’t be fun because it would just be an extended part of the campaign map. It would also take more resources to polish the map outsides it’s boundaries. So no, I don’t think it would be a good idea.
Well not really polish the outside, just let it be the way it would normally be, glitchy and all. At least allow for levels to be leavable, not necessarily turn off barriers i guess
